Well Rutherford was evidently furious with his inability to sign aucion so he signed tverdovsky. The media down here was like "um,....he hasn't been a good player in years jim". Well this made jimmy even angrier so i'll never forget his quote back "you ask any gm in the league who'd they'd rather have, adrian aucion, or Oleg Tverdovsky, it's Tverdovsky everytime". you know what kills me? people who say Federov is washed up. Talent like that doesn't take that steep of a nose dive, and his numbers arn't actually terribly awful. Unlike the drop in production of say tony amonte. My theory is he's just bored, he was always a very temperamental player. Federov isn't a 6 million dollar player with the jackets, but then again, with the cast around him, he doesn't have to be. If he comes here i bet we see 02 fed's and not 08 feds.
