mine too, i play a sim league based on the nhl 07 engine and went out and got asham for my third line. My team is totally kicking butt. Has nothing to do with my front line of Gagne,Staal,Havlat.......nope,......it's all asham.

Sure they are, Asham i'll give you. But almost every winger starved team in the nhl is hoping Gelians has some more left in the tank. What i ment was people LGW havn't been talking about since free agency started.

completly, he's a ufa. He was part of the deal that sent walker to the canes, and then the canes reaquired him for V. Vishnevski in a three way with atalanta. He'll go somewhere, he's far to big and skilled not too. those guys are on alot of teams radars, the purpose of this thread is to talk about players that arn't.

I've thought about yashin, honestly it's always mystified me that we don't have many russians on this team anymore. But with Grigs comming over and Dats on our team maybe Yashin could fit in better with some of his countrymen. Most people thought Jagr was finished pre lockout until they surrounded him with his own people.

some of our biggest players have been castoffs from other teams. The stories are legendary, we got Draper for a dollar from the jets. The Leafs couldn't give us larry murphy fast enough. Cleary was a ufa that no one wanted, i bet Jim playfair wanted him after he made his goalie look ridicioulous this playoffs (see my sig). The list goes on. To be perfecty honest, its when we sign the big free agent that worries me. Hatcher, Krupp, Whitney all guys who did nothing on this team. Some guys we sign big do well after they leave us, but off hand i can't think of one big free agent signing that didn't already play on our team at one point do much for us.

A. Dino is revered in hockeytown so that makes it off base by itself. B. have you seen hudler play? I remember kubina Crosschecked him in the face in the preseason and hudler didn't back down. C. Give the kid more time to play before you anoint him the next rico fata.

yeah you gotta wonder what the kings are doing right now. I mean it's really good that a team like that is getting al these good FA. But they can ask Vancover about having a stacked team and letting ol' danny boy tend the crease.

if i'm not mistaken something simliar to this happened a while back between the devils an st.louis. I don't remember who was being signed, or what the schmatics of it was but i remember that as part of the compensation of being found guilty, the blues had to give NJ then realitivly unknown scott stevens. I think it would be funny if the caps had to give up some prospects for nylander.

Selanne will retire if he doesn't sign with the ducks. I don't see him wanting to go anywhere else. Maybe the blues to play with princess paula but other than that there's no way he'd come here.

i really don't understand why some of us are upset with this. We get a younger version of Schneider who can actually play D better (minus the shot) and some are upset with this? Who else would we have got to replace matty? He wasn't comming back and holland knew it.

i personally would love to have him, but sadly i think the Canadians or oilers will make a pitch for him.

you know it doesn't really list calder. He made a good deal of money last year. Wouldn't surprise me if he's one of these guys who's asking for a lot.

here's another thing,....massive fire sale right? No kariya, forskin (i mean forsberg) vokumn, timmonen, or hartnel. But the fans are supposed to come out and support a team with what? four or five nhl caliber players on it?

my mother was one of the lucky ones. She battled breast cancer and won the fight. God bless you manny legacy for doing something so unselfish such as this.

Lepoild is an absolute primadonna i don't get this at all. You've got a guy who wants to buy the team, you have people out selling the team when it doesn't even exist. Yet i feel that somehow the NHL is behind this, trying desperately to keep this team where it is.
