with all due respect to the people bashing this thread most of what mr. sandman quotes comes from the AP. These arn't just his personal opinions about how the ducks are playing it's getting attention everywhere. People around the league are wondering why the piss we had a lockout if this is what it brought us. The same clutch and grab, goon hockey we had before hand. If ottawa loses this series in similar fashion it's going to stir the pot. Now i'm not saying the wheels are going to fall off and everyone is going to rebel, but mark my words if this kinda crap contiunes into several seasons there will be some problems for the league.

that poor kids name has been popping up since lunqvist exploded on the scene. He's the ranger equvilant to jimmy howard (i'll leave the rest of the board to tell you who's better). Spector reports that wild goalie Manny Fernadez has requested a trade out of minn. Possible destinations include l.a., Pho, flordia and a maybe for Detroit. I've always like Manny and i think the wild are a little dumb for putting a termendous amount of faith in backstrom. But i'm not a gm so who knows. At any rate if hasek gives us a decision soon and says no,...we need this guy like now.

the reason he's been trade bait is because he refused a demotion to lowell during the season. The guy reportedly has a bit of an attitude problem. I don't see that mixing very well with babs.

i don't think he's got to much of a shot at the big club, but who knows what will happen in training camp. I think he's definatly going to find lots of ice time with the griffs next year. I really like this kid, he might be another draft steal for our incredible scouting deparment. We just need to develop him. Lets not forget St. louis wasn't even drafted.
