i really hate the trap and i can't stand teams that play it. I know this is going to be viewed as overt homerism but as a hockey fan in general i have zero desire to pay a couple days earnings to go watch a game were one team gets ahead by a few goals and then simple stays back in there zone and plays foozeball all night. Granted the wings power play was unearthly awful but seriously the trap has to go if we're to attract new fans. I realize that just reeks of sour grapes after being beaten but i just don't think it should have a place in the NHL. This would be why i cheer for a team like Detroit who's know for having good puck postion then a team like jersey or the wild. Every year in the playoffs same damn dog and pony show,...trap trap trap.

i see a team being stupid enough to trade for richards, which team is up for debate but whatever team he's not worth league max.

i think the chances of us being able to afford one of those guys along with Z and Dats is simply out of reach. Richards is in all liklyhood the one going to be traded and while he's a great player he's not worth nick's salary.

yeah anyone who says nabokov is in kippers league is kidding themselves. Nabokov has been yanked quite a few times this season (the last time comming against carolina in march i believe) he's very inconsistent. I'd be more afraid of toskala and i think we'll be seeing him about game 4ish.

Nabokov and toskla together aren't better than kipper Also, SJ isn't going to play goon squad, they can and nashville proved that. But to use a phraze, don't start nothing won't be nothing. We are perfectly fine with laying the body but playing clean, complete puck domination hockey.

kipper without a doubt, but on the wings side daniel cleary was a monster. His hit on phaneuf showed every team in the league we could dish what they've been giving for years now.

I can't say enough about the incredible level of play Cleary exhibited this very young post season. He's constantly on the attack, utterly relentless in the play. His shorthanded penalty shot drove a deep nail in that game five coffin for the flamers. His hit on Phaneuf was Vladdy like in its "holy crap!" impact and he missed the series winner off the post in the dying seconds of the third. To every organization who gave up on him, a rebuttle from the fans of the Detroit Red Wings, Thanks!
