you know what,..i love the salary cap. Here's why if there wasn't a salary cap, we trade for forskin, and or guerin, we signed gerber last year, and we dont' take a gamble on the three guys we got that are playing like a goldmine in calder, hasek, and bert. We have far exceeded everyone's expectations of us for two straight years. Ironicly it's the same crap we've heard since 98'. There too old, too slow, won't compete in the playoffs yada yada yada. For the first time since we won that cup in 97' i think we finally able to compete with playoff teams using more than just skill. A new age in red wing history dawns, this go round,...it just may be about grit.

oh yes, and it's not just red wings stuff (obviously that's first) but hockey in general. I'm a student of the game, and any time the game is mentioned or shown i go all geekie,.i was barley containable when the movie miracle came out. It's a game that i can recite the final min. of play. lol,..needless to say my fiance has just given up hope and has surrendered to the darkside and now watches hockey. (she picked the kings as her favorite team, just because of there jersey's,.....sigh,...i'm going to marry a puckbunny)

it's been said quite a few times that the players hate mike babcock,..i don't really care if it's true or not. The players also hated scotty bowman 364 days out of the year, except the day they picked up there stanley cup rings. lets hope our players hate babs like that.

I've seen alot of "nashville fans are stupid" posts on here so i thought i would chime in that every team has really dumb fans. For example, the dumbest thing i've ever heard a hockey fan in general say, came out of the mouth of a nucks fan. I was on another board talking about barret jackman. I casually mentioned that i couldn't believe he beat Zetterberg out for the calder in 03'. Well evidently it was more than the poor canuck could stand, he went on an absoutly tirade about how Jackman was a better player. This mystified me, so i asked him to explain. He said that Zetterberg got alot of attention because of where he played, and that he did have good offensive skills (good is a mild word). He also said that Zetterberg wasn't very good defensively (will probably come in second for the selke this year) and that he knew that jackman was the better play because Jackman was a great leader. Neverminding the fact Zetterberg is an assistant captain on a team that's currently first overall. He just couldn't see my logic and that any "Real" fan of the game would see how jackman's "incredible" defensive prowess made him head and shoulders above Zetterbergs point per game average, insane skills, and sound defensive play. So anyway, what's the dumbest thing you've heard from another teams fans?

drury is 30 to dats' 28 personally i'd love to have Drury here but dats does alot as well like you said it depends on what pavel does this post season.
