crosses fingers for samuelsson
-
good win, i feel better and better about this teams chances in the playoffs when we play games that look and feel like that. Ozzie and Dom both look sharp as a tack and now Bert! get'em boys!
-
if they're still injury plagued you betcha
-
i don't care what anybody says,..seeing crap like that makes me think the nhl wants nashville to win the division. saw the same crap last year with the officating against carolina in the finals.
-
i love dats,..i really do, but there not even in the same universe. by 28 crosby will be twice the player he is now, and that is very very scary.
-
there's even less on in the u.s.

what if the tigers go right to the bottom of the standings again, with the parady in baseball it wouldn't surprise me. then who's back on top? i heard zero about the tigers,...Zero until there run this year. If they go back to sucking i'll here about as much as i did before the run.

You know i was thinking the exact same thing this morning. If we got him for league min. i don't see why this isn't a bad idea.

anyone who'd say the ducks are the toughest team in history havn't been fans for very long. and the whole arugment about size automatically equals toughness never saw the flyers or the bruins play in the 70's anyway.

the former fans of the jets are up in arms about this. as they should be

it'd be nice to see dom get considered for the vesina. He won't win it (and probably doesnt' deserve it) but that was a hell of game from what i saw.

I was going through some old hockey cards and they had Daigle's junior card, talking about all his records in qmjl. The way the card was worded it gave me the general feeling that most people had him labeled a guy who would break Gretzky's records. i know the story, about how he had zero work ethic and was just another example of how talented a player could be and never quite make it. I guess what i'm getting at is why would you have that much talent and still not make it. What clicks in a players head to have an unbelievable hockey career up to the nhl level and then,..nothing.

yeah,..isn't kopesky comming back for the playoffs?

68 points in 19 games is a good one

What do we think about Bertuzzi replacing Holmstrom on the ZDH line?
theman19 replied to sean's topic in General
don't forget that Bert played his best hockey with brendan morrison and Nasulnd. Two guys who play similar games (althought morrison isn't half as skilled as either Z or Dats) -
don cherry is a genius, i laughed so hard at that one,...lol He raises a great point though,...everyone goes "ohhhh the players are too big to fight now" Are you kidding me? that's like saying Defensive linemen are getting to big to sack the quaterback. STOP TINKERING WITH THE GAME

okay let me just read you what the card says "Mario Lemieux. Mike Bossy. Guy lafleur. Choose your own yard stick by which to measure Daigle's dominance of the Quebec Major Junior league in 92-93. Daigle was in a class by himself as pro scouts showed up daily to watch him at work and at play. He netted 68 points in his first 19 games and fans began comparing him to lemieux who has the QMJHL record of 282 points. though scouts loved his production. they also love th emanner in which he scored. "he's a little cocky. but most of the best are." said Hartford general manager Brian Burke. Ottawa officals were smitten as he tore through QMJHL opponents. I've seen a great many hockey players over my 30 years in the NHL said John ferguson "a guy like daigle only comes along once in a great while"
-
ohhhhh maybe we can split him into two people! one scores the other passes!
-
you know who i think is the answer? Pavel Datsyuk There is a tremendous pressure on him to do well these playoffs you could tell he was trying his best last playoffs but was still injured, i think a fully healthy dats is going to murder come playoff time
-
if isbister can't make the canes with there injury ravaged team i don't think he'd do it here
-
i turn into a nervous wreck
-
carolina used the same slogan last year when they won the cup
-
it kinda boogles my mind when we as a team don't bench overrated ineffective verterans in place of young scoring youngsters. Flip and hudler are effective and doing very well, why on earth would we as a team put them out for a guy who has been. Yet as i say that i know that either flip or rex will be out playoff time.
-
don't forget kyle calder, who does something on this team that is rarly done and that's muck it up in the corners. as i've said this is a totally different team than last year
