yes they have amazing chemistry on ice but if he's asking for 7 million a year and a guy like ryan smyth is asking the same amount,....i'm sorry you have to address your needs. There will be some extremely intresting free agent choices out there i'm just curious to see what we do. Personally i hope they do resign him i always enjoy watching a player who has "something to prove". Dats has heard for a few years he's a no show in the playoffs, will see what he does now that he's motivated and healthy.

i will say this, last year we had two lines, granted neither one of them was as dominate as the euro triplets line, but we did have two of them. Furthermore our powerplay was leathal all year including the post season,.....only problem was they magically put up the whistles for the post season,..hmmmm

i've always felt that was a misrepresented phraze for hockey. In other sports you can say Defence wins championships and it does,...but more specificly to hockey Goaltending wins championships. 93 Canadians 95(and 00, 03) devils 02 wings 04 lightning 06 canes all teams that yes had fantastic Defence but wouldn't have made it to lord stanley without there teams respective goalie standing on his head.

I watched the canes win last year with great intrest and have the stanley cup dvd at home (leave me alone i'm from nc) at any rate mark recchi scored some absoutly clutch goals last year to win some playoff games, not only that he set up a few as well. Weight not so much, but there would be no cup without mark recchi's speed and drive to the net for the canes. Especially watch that series against buffalo, he was relentless in that series and made a scoring chance everytime he was one the ice.

you realize that Seattle could be losing the sonics a team that's been in the area for 40 years due to dredful attendence and you think that an NHL market is going to be better? Besides, when the penguins went bankrupt a few years back before mario bought the team seattle was the rumored venue but that fell through. Now they want another crack at it,..fine. And no i don't think Hamilton is a good venue but I still believe Winnipeg is good NHL city. They just need managment that doesn't make poor business decisions and there fine.
