He has impressed the hell ouf of me since WJ. This year in the AHL only sold me more...im looking into possibliy getting his potenital Wild jersey. I know its a crazy ass long shot, but He could turn out to be their Yzerman or Sakic. dude! a hockey player from winston salem nc! that's up the road from me,...if he makes it big i'm going to get his jersey too. Never thought i'd see the day a north carolina nhler.

i'm going to laugh my head off if lang wins the conn smyth and all you lang haters never again get to say "lang's lazy and he sucks" (at least until next year)
-
that was quick,.....here's to hoping he dominates
-
avsmonkeys,..by far. Never ceases to amaze me when they talk about that 96 cup and how there the greatest expansion team in nhl history,...then when i say something about the nords i get a "who are they and what do you mean there the ones who really put that team together"
-
how'd you characierize his offensive game,...is he more of an outside shot kinda guy or does he have hands?
-
14 goals, 21 assists and 233 penalty minutes just doesnt cut it in todays NHL. Theres no room for someone with those stats. If your gonna be a guy whos a 10 and 20 guy than you better be killing penalties not taking them. I doubt he ever sees serious time in the NHL. Bootland has 24 goals along with 25 assists for 49 points plus he is on the top penalty kill unit and powerplay. i havn't seen him play but from what ya'll have said he seems like a more aggressive, more physical maltby. Plus if he can translate those goals on an nhl level he actually might be an up grade over malts who's play hasn't impressed many this year.
-
if he keeps this up, it will be yet another cast off we picked up from another team and rejuivnated into a utility kinda guy.
-
all these great scoring prospects make me wonder what were gonna do for a roster next year,...hudler has been tearing up the ahl but he needs top lines to do it in the nhl (ain't happening with our depth) then we have flippula,...plus bootland,..now this guy. Am i dreaming or is there an actually red wings youth movement in place

You're a classy guy ....what an asset to the forum thanks, that means a lot coming from you and your greatness You're welcome...if you don't like a subject of a thread, don't read it. We don't want to resort to telling your parents the kind of language you use here, do we? and he was doing so well too,......oh well troll 0 barnes 1

robert lang,...who can if we wants to put up huge playoff numbers jari hudler who could be a great scorer if he could get over his size and a pick for a poor mans chris draper without the speed? no thanks.
-
no thanks,..... luongo strikes me as the kind of goalie who needs a hundred shots a night to be effective, and with our D. He wouldn't get them here.

i love the rumors that come out of leaf land,..they always sound like this team A is rumored to be giving up it's star young player and the future of the francise for an older leafs player who's not pulling his weight anymore. grow up T.O
-
if there's anything this team does have it's experience and leadership. We have a Captian who literally has done it all just about, 3 time norris winning defencemen, a 44 year old legend who's playing like he's 20 and several others who've been to the top of the mountian 3 times. We know how to win, it's if we can put it together.
-
i love it when 13 year olds post trade ideas.
-
the last thing we need is another o-d man with a defencive liability
-
hawks wouldn't take that trade in there own division. Salei would be a huge asset to the wings.
-
i think guys like bootland will get a shot next year when we have a serious log jam of ufa's. I don't think we can keep all our guys. Personally i'd like to see him play, not because we need an enforcer but it'd be nice to have a d-mac like player again.

A, howard wasn't a high pick, in fact neither was he in the first round,..chosen 64th overall. B. the difference is scouting, before the early 90's work of the red wings it was very taboo to go off looking for talent outside of the junior and college leagues, it was done, but not to the level we did it at. lets start with 90's draft 1 nolan 2 nedved 3 primeau 4. ricci 5 jagr going on for the next 15 years here are some great players chosen in the top 5 scott niedermayer chris pronger paul kariya ed jovanovski wade redden joe thorton roberto luongo patrick marleau vaitaly vishnevski vicent lecavalier do your research before you post such a blanketed statement
-
there are plenty of "undersized" players in the nhl who have flat out destroyed teams. Sullivan comes to mind off the top of my head as does st. louis although he's had an off year. Of course for everyone of them there's a steve kariya. Who had all the tools to be a great star but was to small and got bumped off the puck if you touched him (kinda like his brother lol just kidding preds fans)

I think I'm about ready to put it in my sig. Had Pavel came over at the age Hudler did he'd have been traded off for Macoun or Mironov at the deadline by Wings fans. Jiri is still a full year younger than Pavel was when he first came over and your description fits Datsyuk of '01-'02 to a T. peace yatzee, let the kid develop and in 3 years you'll see hundreds of hudler jersey's at the joe.
-
i swear i read hudler's name on every trade rumor out there,..can we just let the guy develop? please?
-
man,...that's pricey. He's having a great year but that's a bit high for my blood.
-
long shot guys like dats and zetts.
-
turco is one of the few goalies in the nhl who could actually improve our offence, he's like a 3rd dman with the way he handles the puck. He won't sign for peanuts though it could cost us alot to get him.
-
after seeing some of the ideas on here,..no you don't lol. Anyway yes we desperatly need some hardcore, i'll kick your tail D. I'll keep the same song,..witt or salei.
