"Heard it on the radio, Lidstrom has been traded to Vancouver for Jovanovski. Looks like a pretty even trade all around. " There's zero way this trade could even happen as vancover is a couple bucks short of the cap (literally) and would have to make up the difference to get back under it,....jovo and thug boy (bertuzzi) would make more sence.

as usual from eklund he says where they might go but not who we get,.... anyway i dunno i'd be more inclinded to be belive the kings then the devils. We do have a nice trade history with the kings but i'm a little lost at who we'd pick up. If we where to trade him just for a back up surly the kings wouldn't give us anything great for our troubles? If we trade legace it better be for a top 4 d-man who can hit.

Spectorhockey.net has an a rumor up about piere lacouix (i know i spelled that wrong) chomping at the bits trying to get luongo. It all started when mike keenan said that if his team can't pull it together soon he's going to have to make major changes to shake up his club. Going so far as to say he'd put luongo on the trading block to see what he'd be able to get. Luongo's agent then reportedly add fuel to all this by restating that his client will not resign with florida at the end of the year. Lastly before the season started rumors where flying that the avs where very very intrested in obtaining him, now that all this has started even more rumors are surfacing out of colorado. I don't know about you but the last thing i wanna see is arugably the best goalie in the world (and a huge reason the panthers are even close to winning some games) in an avs uniform. I'm sure he makes quite a bit but i'd LOVE to have him here.

look like it'd work for all the teams,..nyr loves castoffs from other teams and he'd fit in well in a rangers uniform. We'd basicly trade him in and get a more defensive player in ward. Can't imagine why anyone would want rivers but hey whatever. We get kubina and kronwall returns we have a very soild D corps. Lidstrom Kubina Kronwall Schnider Lebda Chelly looks pretty freaking good to me. Only thing is i still don't believe where going to trade legace.

that's the funny thing about goaltending to me,...you never know from year to year who's goign to be dominate. Those very few who can remain top notch there whole careers are the true legends.

i just want this kid to be the player nobody wanted and try to spend the rest of his career winning a cup. That's how overachievers in this league are made.

i don't see him there either but if he makes it it'll be a shock. U.S. is pretty stacked this year and there the favorites to win because of that guy from owen sound who's supposed to go 1 overall next year (st. louis here we come!). I'd like to see him make it though. Honestly i'm only remotly intrested so i can see how jack johnson plays and if they hype around him is true. THey say he's goign to be the next great defencemen in the nhl.

maybe,..i dunno. From all the rumors i've heard florida doesn't seem to want too much. I think we could have them for hudler, Kronwall, and a 2nd rounder. That said,...we don't need him that bad

i think he'll have a strong shot at the calder but malkin does scare the crap out of me on line with crosby. Hopefully they won't be the penguins next year so i can actually enjoy watching them

Also as others have said he has fought when necessary, and he's 3rd on the team in PIMs with 62 in 26 games. Sounds good to me! the only thing that worries me is he's paired with a physical d-man and that probably allows him some open ice everynow and again. We don't have a player who would do that for him, unless he's paired with kronwall down the line.

that said i'd rather have thug boy :ducks as the massive amount of well deserved bertuzzi hate comes his way:

he wasn't a popular choice for alot of our fans but we needed a power foward and we needed someone who could hit. If he can do both he's worth it.

i think a more realistic trade for the islanders is sopul for a prospect and a pick.

unfortuantly as much as i've love to have him the last thing we need is a non physical playmaker. We've got two in dats and zetts. And NJ doesn't have much we need either that there willing to give up.
