Excellent article. While Mitch Albom and I rarely agree on anything other than sports, it made me feel good to read that, and that's something to show people around the US that continue to shake the dust off their feet at Detroit. Thanks for posting.

He could soon move Kaberle also http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=262423&...os=topStory_nhl

Got it down

No way they'd let him play. I don't even think they would let him watch the game.

Where do you want the next Winter Classic be?

Toronto and Montreal would also be a great matchup -
Bold prediction!

Per MLive - "Update from Wednesday's practice: Center Valtteri Filppula didn't skate due to a hip injury that coach Mike Babcock said was no big deal and won't keep him out of Thursday's game against Dallas. Filppula took a knee in the hip/thigh area behind the Detroit net during the second period of Tuesday's game against Columbus but managed to finish the game. Derek Meech took Filppula's spot on the line with Jiri Hudler and Mikael Samuelsson in practice. The other lines remained the same."

I couldn't ever go for something like that. For me, gotta be the real thing.

You know its a bad day in hockey when Needavacation is an all-star starter over Lids.

I love how he tries to deny it happened even though its clearly on video

What happened? I left the room hearing that Mitchell had scored for the Canucks and I come back and its still 0-0

I love the way he looks like he's chuckling to himself on the bench afterwards

If anyone could find it, I bet Crossover Thrash could.

Finally. I still remember his "Hockeytown is Dead" story a few years back.

Just got back from the game. What a game to watch in person! Both goalies were fantastic, and I'm still in shock that Conks made that save on Peca. Crowd was great tonight, really into the game, and I nearly jumped up in the air after Hank got the monkey off his back with the en goal after a great play from Pavs. LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!

Probably sucks to be Freddy Norrena right now, he got sent down when Mason got called up, went unclaimed on waivers, and is now in the KHL.

Maybe Hank will autograph the new one

I think all of Bab's man love is concentrated on Sammy

MLive - Update from Monday's practice: Wings coach Mike Babcock said Ty Conklin will start in goal Tuesday against Columbus and Chris Osgood will start Thursday vs. Dallas. Osgood has a good career record against the Stars (27-10-3 regular season, 8-4 playoffs), so perhaps Conklin will start again Saturday against Buffalo, followed by Osgood next Monday in Dallas. Babcock also said Brett Lebda and Chris Chelios will be back in the lineup Tuesday, replacing Andreas Lilja and Derek Meech. He's probably not going to rotate the fifth and six defense spots, since Lilja and Lebda are fairly secure in their positions, but he clearly wants to work Chelios and Meech in from time to time.

It's days later and I'm still embarassed at watching that.
