That deserves more than 5 games. He made no effort to slow down and looked like he did all he could to run him from behind.

damn, 7 for 16 so far. worst weekend yet
-
Will never happen. They're only pissed that the Preds arent the Hamilton/Kitchener Predators right now.

Not at all. I sat in section 218 in like row 22 for a playoff game back in 07, the seats are great. Very easy to see the plays develop from a higher seat. And thats one of the great seats about the Joe, I have yet to hear anyone complain about an obstructed view seat ANYWHERE in the arena.

Attendance has never, ever been that low since the sellout streak ended. If it was, that would be truely sad.

Now we wait until the next time Downie destroys someone ala McAmmond

Not a bad way to start out

Can't watch this one cuz of work but I'll have it on the radio

Wow, 0-4. Upset night in the NHL

Just got done watching the Sharks/Blues game. The game went into a shootout, and on the final Blues shot, Evgeni Nabokov kicked out the left pad trying to make a save; the shot went wide and the game was over, and Nabokov remained stretched out on the ice. I thought he was just laying in relief because of the win, but as the Sharks came out to celebrate, he remained on the ice so long that the players were calling for the trainers. He was helped off the ice while putting zero weight on his leg. Looks like we'll be seeing Brian Boucher start for the Sharks for the near future, depending on the severity of Nabokov's injury.

s***, 0 for 3 so far

Awesome news
-
If you asked the average hockey fan who didn't know Boucher how much do you think the goaltender who currently holds the modern NHL record for consecutive shutouts is making, I bet they wouldn't guess only $650,000.
-
Not suprising, the San Jose Mercury News Sharks page only has 1 story on the Sharks and all the info on Nabokov was that he "left after he appeared to have twisted his knee." Not ragging on the good fans that they have, but that's another reason to be thankful we live in an actual hockey market.

Best article on the Wings I've seen in forever. Somebody go post this on the Hawks site and count how long until Detroit sucks! Detroit sucks!

Wow. Sucks for the Devils

Ian Laperierre. But I think the other highlight of that game was Babcock's shouting at Granato from the bench

I'd probably go back to that Mobil station and see if anyone else calls to offer a crazy proposal

I'm kinda on the fence. Does his agitating style of play make up for the off ice distractions?

2008-2009 NBA Season Thread (Pistons trade for Allen Iverson)
Hockeytown0001 replied to timothy1997's topic in Other Sports
Wow, not a fan of this trade. Everyone I know who follows basketball agrees that he's a selfish ball hog who has the potential to screw up the dressing room. And who could forget the classic "practice" video? Totally didn't see this one coming. I'm gonna miss Chancey and 'Dyess, but here's hoping that AI can be the "Answer" the Pistons need. -
Also agreed. As I mentioned before, the NHL needs to start marketing other players as well, instead of having Crosby take up the grand majority of the advertising. Players like Thornton, Iginla, Ovechkin are also top tier player who would be marketing tools to people who don't know them outside of San Jose, Calgary and Washington.
