Seconded. No denying that Sid is a great player. But was Wayne Gretzky marketed back in the day to the point where people would immediately turn the channel once an ad featuring him came on as such is the case with Sid? Every 10 seconds in the Finals, we'd hear "Crosby Crosby Crosby", even when the Wings shut out the Penguins in Games 1 and 2. I flipped the channel every Crosby commercial there was, and while I agree that he is an excellent marketing tool for the NHL, they need to start marketing other players like Thornton, Iginla, Ovechkin, Zetterberg, Lecavalier, as well as younger guys like Stamkos and Kane, rather than all Crosby all the time.
