I wouldn't be suprised to see the Oil or Yotes sneak into the playoffs. I'd be suprised if Vancouver makes it. Luongo can only do so much, and the offense was already terrible last season with Naslund and Morrison, who are both gone now. Demietra/Bernier aren't an upgrade; they're going to be even more hard-pressed for goals this year.

Didn't see is, so can't comment on it. Sounds like it was non-intentional. I cant believe that Downey would go after one of his own players less than a week after vowing he's there to stick up for his team. He's trying to make the regular lineup, and just got a little ahead of himself. Drapes got to him, and he and Flip apparently hugged afterward. All is forgiven in my book.

And how much history does the AAC have? I've said repeatedly, I don't care how old the Joe is or how much improved other arenas are. There is nothing like going to a game at the Joe. You're going to see a hockey game, not a techno show. And I hate when people complain about the food/beer selection. As I said before, you're there to see a hockey game, not enjoy a 4 star meal. I'm sure Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park blow compared to newer ball parks, but they're among the greatest to visit because of the history and sheer allure of the venue itself. I still don't get why the Yankees are building a new ballpark. For me, the Joe will always be a part of hockey history. I say renovate it, not replace it.

I'd be all for that. The slug looks more like a third jersey logo. Better yet, get rid of it entirely. Make the new third jersey the primary one, and the third jersey with a nod to the former black/red sweaters. Just my take on it.

Niner's lead it 21-3 at the half. Howie Long is saying he's shocked at the Lions effort today; although in Detroit it's nothing new. I'm just about done with this team. I don't konw how many chances we've all given them, I'm almost at my limit. This is now beyond pitiful. Maybe they want to tank the season so they can draft another bum reciever with a high pick.

It looks like Reebok has changed its look; I've noticed new goalie pad designs and player equipment that have Reebok spelled out out on it instead of RBK. Both jersey's look good. I noticed the Blues is pretty similar to Minnesota's third jersey, but looks good regardless. The Sabres was expected, but has that good retro look to it as well.

Normally I'd agree. But never underestimate the stupidity of the man who let go Bryzgalov and Schneider in exchange for nothing. Am I missing something? Were the Ducks unable to trade Bryz (large contract, injuries, ect.) or did they just place him on waivers after deeming Hiller ready for the number 2 job?

I don't know if you saw, but Madison Square Garden is number 3 on the list. Other than MSG, the Joe is the the first hockey arena on the list that I saw, with the only other one being United Center.

That's too bad. I remember being excited when the Wings signed him over the summer, and we hardly ever got to see him; and he wasn't that good when in the lineup. If this is it for him, congrats to Hatch on a good career.

It's still beyond me how prices can be raised. Doesn't Mr. Ilitch realize that this is why alot of games last year didn't sell out? Nobody can afford to go. And this year with even higher prices...... Winning the Cup can take you only so far, it doesn't put money back in the pockets of fans. If prices were slashed, every game would sell out guarunteed.
