My mistake. I remembered that he was to serve 6 months in jail/prison at the conclusion of this season, I thought it would carry over into this season. But...having the jail time "not affect his career"? Like the article says, would he be given that grace if he weren't a pro athlete?

Awesome man. And yes, hockey players mingle among us plain folk. It's not unheard of for celebrities to be seen in places where "normal" people go. I've had people tell me that they've seen Lids and Hank at Starbucks and grocery stores and places like that before...why can't they go where everyone else goes? If Hank wants a good juicy steak but doesn't have time to go out to eat, I'm sure he'll swing by Meijer or another store and get one. It's not unheard of.

Congrats to the Penguins on a great season, going from near bankrupt and becoming the "Kansas City Penguins" to getting a new arena and a berth in the Stanley Cup Finals. While I don't care for bandwagon fans (I just realized that we can't exactly complain about that, considering the Joe was half empty in the early 80's) and Crosby's seemingly "I deserve the Cup because I'm Crosby" attitude, you can't downplay the firepower Pittsburgh has in its lineup and how talented they are. I thought for sure this series would go the distance. This experience can only be good for them, and surely they will be back soon enough. But again, hopefully it's not the the Red Wings expense.

Come back to the boards in the midst of a losing streak and you'll find the majority of the posters here calling for everyone to be traded, Babcock/Holland to be fired, and Mikael Sammuelsson/Andreas Lilja to be strapped to a rocket and sent to Neptune.
