I'm gonna go ahead and call a Sharks win tonight, then Stars take it at home in 6 to wrap it up and move on to face Johan Franzen and Co.

I don't know about that. It was a bit of a different situation as the Wings were down by one with under a minute left against the Oil after Hemsky scored. We needed our best skilled players out there in an attempt to tie the game. I could understand if we were down by an unreachable margin, however.

As I've said, the only reason you can have for disliking him is because he's just so good.

Maybe the accident has had more of an effect than most of us realize. If only....

No, Patrick Roy retired after 2003. He won 30 some games in 2002-2003 and actually pitched a shutout in his first game at the Joe since Game 7. His final game was against Minnesota in Game 7 (?) in an overtime loss.

Now, I wonder what the guy who wrote Colorado was going to win in 6 and that Hockeytown would change its name to "Loserville" is going to write tomorrow.

All that remains is for Foote to go headhunting here, hopefully Sakic's example will rub off on them somehow and they'll go out with a little class. That being said, I hope this isn't the last of Sakic. During the hey-day of the rivalry, the only thing that you could hate about him was his incredible play - thats it. He isn't a total ****** off the ice like so many of the other Avs were. Basically the Stevie Y of the Avs. Sakic is about as classy as they come, and I for one would like to see him back another year.
