I'd love to see the ref just stop the game, and go out there and measure his pads and chest protector. If they're legal, fine. But I won't believe they're legal until it's proven. There's something about him that just makes him look bigger than any goalie I've ever seen.

An elite goaltender would find a way to stop the puck, even with someone screening in front. You can't use that excuse, "Boo hoo, he couldn't stop the shot because a player blocked his view!" This is hockey, that's what happens. If anything, you want to do that as much as you can, blocking the goaltender's view of the puck so that your team can score more goals.

This is why so many people I know refuse to waste time watching hockey anymore...they're sick of seeing the better team lose due to a stupid call from the referees. The game should be decided by the players, not officials.
