I remember trading Tomas Fleischmann (sp) in 2004 to the Caps for Bobby Lang, he's still in Washington and he's scored a few times in the pre-season methinks.

Who cares. IN terms of hockey atmosphere, no arena compares. It's the same thing if Maple Leaf Gardens or the Montreal Forum were still open, they'd be dumps compared to today's modern arena's, but in terms of hockey history and atmostphere and nostalgia, its a true hockey fans paradise.

I gotta say, I'm suprised................that the Kings didn't figure it out last year and do this sooner. No offense to Cloutier, but he simply is not starting goaltender material. He did pretty well with Vancouver, but who remembers when it all started to fall apart? That's right, when Nick beat him from the red line back in game 3 of Round 1 in 2002. The fact that he's way too injury prone doesn't help his case either.

because its the preseason, the boards aren't colored in? i think i have ocd, nothing's right if it doesn't look the same!! lol
-
While we're at it, whats up with the boards? How come the ads aren't colored in?
-
and that reason is....?
-
is there a reason the boards are all white and the ads and stuff aren't colored in? just wondering

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=33707...mp;service=page Sorry if it's posted already. Can't this guy just decide already? I gotta say, I don't know why he'd even think about retiring. He's only 34 and still one of the best d-men in hockey today.

Not so fast. Carter had some pretty decent years with the Oil, it could be just what he needs to get back on track. Either that or get the Sedins traded to Edmonton.
-
And while we're on Neids, Selanne should make up his mind too.
-
Don't think so, he signed a 3 year deal at the end of 2005-2006.

That argument would make sense for the average worker, not star athlete, who at times may struggle to provide for their families and who worry how they'll make it through tax season. Sorry, but the "making more money to better provide for their family" argument simply doesn't work for professional athletes who make more money in a few weeks than most peope do in a year. The only exception, as someone pointed out, is Latrell Sprewell . For anyone who doesn't know, that douchbag turned down $7 million per year, saying "I have a family to feed."

16:00 left in the first, no score -
Man, Buffalo just keeps losing valuable players.
-
Sabres - Meh. I don't like the white stripes going up the side. Avs - Not too bad. More blue along the sides. Ducks - Ugly as always

Penguins players personally deliver season tickets

That's awesome. I'd piss my pants if Pavel, Hank and Lids showed up at my door giving me tickets. -
Sopel and another veteran d-man coming to camp

I thought that Vancouver re-signed him. Or am I thinking of someone else? -
I liked Boyd when he was here, you could tell that even though he sucked for the most part, he was giving it all every time he was out there. Oh well, here's to Griggo surpassing Boyd's numbers, hopefully by alot.
-
Griggo's wearing 21??? I thought we retired it as soon as Boyd left!!!!
