The Penguins fired Michel Therrien and then immediately went on a roll. Maybe if the Wings brass finally got rid of McCrimmon and replaced him with a defensively sound coach.
-
I don't recall anyone throwing hats on the ice, though. The Devils are 2-3-1 in 6 games with Kovie, and he only has 1 goal. Is he just starting slow, or is Jersey's defense first attitude really hindering him?

I'm sure many of the Wings did that to Lemieux back in the day.

Many Canadian fans do tend to overreact when their team loses. (They also tend to overreact when their team wins, like the Habs fans nearly blowing up the city after the Habs got out of the first round.) Not saying that's you or anything. I gladly concede that hockey originated in Canada and is therefore Canada's game, similar to the US and baseball. I'm rooting for the US, but have no problems if the Canadians capture the gold.

Im suprised the NHL didn't suspend him for his comments. -
Fil has been in the lineup for 10 shootout losses, whereas Detroit only had 2 for the entire time he was away. Maybe he's the shootout curse.
-
So much for all the Tavares mania before the season.
-
Or John Keating.
-
Detroit is 13 -11 -10 with Fil in the lineup, meaning they are 15-10-2 without him. Uh oh.
-
This.

I still can't believe they picked Modin over Samuelsson. -

For a second, I thought I read "not just the skill." -
Hopefully he goes to GR and could be possibly called up for the playoffs.
