1. Perhaps you're unaware that people work in the morning. Getting a head start on the traffic, which leaving the Joe after a hockey game can be a nightmare, is not a bad idea. 2. I'm not sure what a "dead wang" era is. I'm aware of what the "Dead Wings" were, but if wangs are all Chicago fans can think about, then talk about it on your board. 3. As has been discussed several times, Hockeytown isn't referring to the city of Detroit, but rather the entire Detroit fan base. Why is it that Chicago can't singlehandedly sell out an opposing arena?

And here I thought January was going to be a great month for the Wings.

Also, someone please get a screenshot of Pittsburgh getting away with 6 men on the ice for over 20 seconds with nobody noticing. Those should be a good starting point. Anyone have the video to the plays that happened within a week of eachother of Pittsburgh being on the right side of a "no goal" call?

Had I not watched the games and came onto LGW and saw that a game against Phoenix had nearly 1,000 posts, and a game against Minnesota will surely surpass 800 tonight, I'd take that as either really good or really bad.

Suffice to say, Osgood will not be seeing the net for a while after tonight. I feel silly now for rushing home in the snow and bad roads to see a resilient Red Wings team kick the s*** out of Minnesota out of anger for last night.

The Red Wings ought to hire a few fans to pose as referees and to pretend to waive off goals scored, thus making Detroit think they must continue to play even when having taken a 2 goal lead. It's perfect, I tells ya!

Are you referring to the corporate seats that bigwigs don't take? Maybe the seats that were vacated when Detroit took a two goal lead with under five minutes left in order to beat the traffic getting home? Or do years have having 10,000 plus empty seats at the UC still live in your head?

Great thread I've had a few.... -The Red Wings/Blues brawl in St. Louis back in early 2003, the Blues fans were picking fights with any Red Wings fan they saw. I didn't get into any altercations, but I saw at least on 7 occasions walking out a Blues fan pushing anyone wearing Red -My first Red Wings game the day before Halloween in St. Louis in 1999, an overtime loss. Walking out of (then) Kiel Center, taking verbal abuse and then while driving on the street next to the arena, Blues fans looking in and pounding the windows because I had a Red Wings shirt on -The home opener against Chicago, I had standing room tickets and for the first period stood at Chicago's blue line next to this lady who, every time a Detroit player got the puck, would shout, "C'mon (player name), woowoowoowoo!!" and "Get it! Get it!" every time a Chicago player had the puck. EVERY time. I was about ready to tear my ears off by the time the period was over. Not an obnoxious fan, just annoying as hell. -This past November in the Florida OT loss game, there were people 3 rows in front of me so drunk off their ass that it would have been hilarious had there not been other people there. The constant swearing got so bad that at least on 3 occasions, people in different rows stood up and shouted that there were kids in the row and to shut the hell up.
