Seeing him raise the Cup was sickening. At least Crosby, as annoying as he is, is one of the top talented players in hockey. Cooke is a ***** who poses as a tough guy. Patrice Cormier must have Cooke as his hero. -

I think its more of the gangsta mentality that has taken over the NBA has ruined it, not the actual sport of basketball. -
If Eklund posted it, then it holds about as much water as the notion of Brett Lebda winning the Norris. Not knocking you, but I wouldn't take anything Eklund posts seriously.

Also, the cockieness and arrogance of alot of NBA players is a major turn off. (Of course there are hockey players like that, but not as widespread.) Gilbert Arenas and his whole "You can't arrest me, I'm a basketball player" and Latrell Sprewell's rejection of $7 million per year on the grounds of "I've a family to feed" are just mind boggling. -

Speaking of that, the game misconduct of his perfectly clean hit. Also, the way players feel they must "seek revenge" for textbook hockey hits. That's one of the more ridiculous things in today's NHL.

So the Versus gig wasn't permanent? I'll definately be listening. Mac seems like he'd be good on TV/radio, I remember last season when Ken Kal was out sick and he and Paul Woods called the games.

He'll be in the Hall, but won't get #14 retired here. The great Derek Meech now holds claim to that number.

I believe it was a money issue that led to Gretzky's trade, not the management thinking "Ho hum, I think it's time for a new direction." Sheldon Souray is probably gone at or before the deadline. If he wasn't so injury prone, I'd want to see if the Oil would take Lebda/Meech/Leino/picks for him.
