I'm still lost as to how nobody could find the person with the laser. From the net cam, it looked like it was someone that was pretty close to the glass.

I remember that game. I turned it off at the end of the 2nd period with Detroit losing by 3 and woke up expecting to see a loss and got angry when I didn't stick around to see them rally.

I don't remember playing the Islanders in 2007/08, unless you're talking about another season.

It wasn't meant to sound like that. I wish that I and 99 percent of others on LGW could have your optomism all the time. You're able to find good in anything really, something that not many are able to do.

Wasn't he the same referee that called off Brad May's goal against Dallas?

I knew that I'm not sure what's more amusing though....the fact that after Bettman demonstrated that he would fight to the death to keep the Coyotes in Phoenix, they all of a sudden became competative, or that they continue to average (give or take) 10,000 a game unless Detroit is in town.

What about those who believe the NHL has a vested interest in seeing Detroit lose? (I'm not one of them, but its hard not to think about at times with the constant no-goal calls that go against Detroit.)

Thankfully, he's not the type to do that. He's one of few commentators I know of that gets pissed when his team gets a powerplay from a phantom penalty.
