I'd say mostly tools, especially after the playoff series and the throwing trash on the ice after Mule's game winner. Not to mention they make Pittsburgh fans look intelligent by shrieking every time a Jackets player falls down, screaming for a penalty when there isn't an opposing player within 20 feet. -

I still remember a Wings/Caps game from a few years back when he was calling the game and said "Uh oh, it's Datsyuk" when he grabbed the puck on a breakaway and soon scored. That still cracks me up.

While annoying as hell, I think the majority of us understand that Crosby didn't choose to recieve the Obama-like Messiah following 24/7. The constant hockey media drooling over him is extremely tired and old, but I'm able to acknowlegde that he's one of the league's marketable players. Only problem is, the NHL still hasn't figured out that he isn't the ONLY marketable player.

The Hawks attendance for the game in 2007 against Colorado where Toews scored the highlight reel goal was just under 9,000. They didn't begin to sell out until 2008 after years of averaging less than 15,000 fans per game. That's 7,000 unsold tickets. Usually when the Red Wings don't sell out, the attendance is set in the 19,000 plus range, meaning less than 1,000 went unsold. Pretty striking difference if you ask me.

Factors for that include that the palace has nearly 2,000 additional seats than the Joe does, as well as the 2004-05 lockout. The Red Wings regular season sellout streak ended in October of 2007 after what, 10 years? The Pistons sold out over 200 home games in a row until last season - that's not a 10 year streak.
