Probably had more to do with the whole "hockey mom" theme than anything. On Ersberg's LA mask, I just didn't like that the mask was completely covered with film, looked kinda goofy to me. Here's my new candidate for worst mask - Hedberg's mask shape and cage are just painful to look at, not to mention the "Indiana Moose" at the bottom. I know his nickname has always been the Moose, but that's a little silly IMO.

Definately deserved a penalty, however I'd have a hard time believing that there was intent to injure. After all, (correct me if I'm wrong) doesn't Richards have a history of being a relatively non-dirty player despite playing for the Broad Street Bullies?

Time to shake the team up somehow. That kind of action usually comes midway through the season for most, but this kind of play doesn't fly in Detroit. If things don't shape up somehow on this trip, Holland needs to look into a trade. That Abdelkader/pick for Frolov didn't sound half bad right about now.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when your most consistent goal scorers are Draper and Maltby, not Datsyuk and Zetterberg.
