It's easily within his range. He netted 43 in 2008 playing in just 75 games. Now that the contract situation is behind him and provided he stays healthy, it wouldn't be out of his range to net 50.

I'd be open to that too, but he was the Sammy of LGW in 2003-04.

Won't be suprised to see him put up somewhat decent numbers this season, he's had two down seasons in a row and is due for a good one.

Why is everyone saying that Manny has a poor work ethic? I haven't read or seen anything indicating that. He does have a serious depression problem after losses, but I haven't read anything that indicates he just doesn't care.

That's really not fair. The shot was definately deflected, which took a bit of speed off the shot. I don't think Yzerman would have a left eye right now had the shot not been deflected and had hit him at full speed. Only video I found, you can't really see the shot coming. Oh well. But you want to talk about INTENT to injure?

This is Schneider's 4th team since leaving Detroit in 2007. Funny how alot of times after a player leaves Detroit, he bounces around the league without finding a solid home.

Of course. Had it been any of us regular joes, we would be serving a deservedly stiff sentence. Or had one of us killed a pedestrian while driving drunk. Or had we driven off a bridge while drunk and left a woman to die. Just don't accidentally shoot yourself...apparently that gets anyone into prison. The absolute classic arrogant line from a professional athlete was when NBA player Gilbert Arenas said, "You can't arrest me, I'm a basketball player!"

It was a perfect hit. If a Hawk had hit a Red Wing like that, I'd have to admit that it was a good hit and no cause for a penalty. Also, Brian Campbell made a doofus out of himself by calling the play "gutless". How quickly he forgets - That was also an incredible, devastating, and perfectly legal hit. I guess when the shoe's on the other foot does it become "gutless".
