Mike Grier's agent says he's 'interested' in Red Wings

Git R Done Kenny!!!! -
My girlfriend said it felt good when I rubbed her shoulders, so I guess that counts? The person below me has had a girlfriend/boyfriend who, like Jerry Seinfeld's girlfriend, refused to give them a massage.

I don't doubt he can do it. He'd be excellent veteran presence to a young team and I'd be suprised if he didn't wind up as a defensive coach when he finally does call it quits.

As was the case with Scott Stevens, Luc Robitaille, Patrick Roy (Colorado), Trevor Linden, and I imagine with Joe Sakic next season. I wouldn't think you'd need to be in the HOF before having your jersey # retired.

Burke re-signs Pogge; Plans to Trade Him

I don't expect the Leafs to ask for anything more. Every time I saw Pogge play for the Leafs, it was nothing special. -
Has anyone tried a new Angus burger at McDonalds?

Definately. My number one peev is when people are lazy and expect others to do their job for them, which I have to deal with almost every day at work. The person below me would take Heinz ketchup over Hunts any day of the week.

Regardless of whether he is going to the Hall or not, I expect to see #30 hanging from the rafters at the Joe. Say what you will, but I don't think it would look right seeing another Red Wings wear #30 after Ozzie's time is up.

Why I May Have It Worse Than Anyone Here
Hockeytown0001 replied to WingsFanInPensCountry's topic in General
I think that about sums it up, the injuries to Detroit were the final deciding factor in the series. Yes, there were times when Pittsburgh just plain outplayed the Wings, which happens. Even the super-stacked 2002 team played like garbage at times. But had Datsyuk been healthy for t mhe entire series, Lidstrom not slowed down by his injury, as well as the others, I just don't see Pittsburgh beating Detroit in a seven game series. -

Congrats guys, never had any doubts that they'd make it into the Hall - especially Stevie -

I'm still amazed he returned so quickly after that. Dare I say if that happened to a basketball player, he'd miss the next 8 months. -
Burke re-signs Pogge; Plans to Trade Him
Hockeytown0001 replied to DatsyukownzU13's topic in General
How? If the goal is getting him more playing time, either keep him with the Marlies or trade him to another team looking for additional goalie depth. There was no way he was going to get legitimate playing time behind Toskala and Gustavsson. -
Shouldn't your name be P. Marleau?

Heatley for Marleau, Michalek and a 2nd rounder?

No shin guard assassin??????

Who? Emmerton isn't an Ovechkin or Crosby where you're able to put them on the first line during their rookie season. Jimmy D has stated before that rookies, regardless of talent level, are usually always placed on the fourth line for development and to learn from veterans during their rookie season.

I completely forgot he played for the Rangers. Good move by Carolina.

I still remember everyone predicting the Pens to be in the Finals that year with everyone they picked up during the offseason/lockout. That tandem of Fleury/Thibault was pretty brutal that season. I'm still in shock that they threw that much for Campbell. As I said before, I really don't see anyone other than a team like Tampa trying to trade for him.

1. Pittsburgh's bandwagon fans aren't the backbone of hockey fans in the United States. Is that you, Gary? 2. The comment was out of line, but it might give you a glimpse of what Red Wings fans endure when opposing teams come here simply to trash the city of Detroit's economic woes, which have nothing to do with the actual hockey team. Detroit's 'burbs are also among the best places to live; Ann Arbor was recently voted the 2nd best city to live in in the country. Let's both stay away from making jabs about our cities/economy and focus on the hockey teams. -
Wouldn't be suprised to see a team like Tampa try to pick him up from the Hawks.

Part of me wants to agree with you, but the other part wants to scream "You're in the NHL making millions to play a game that one in every million gets to do. Shut your damn mouth and play."

Fans were forgiving of Fedorov after holding out and signing that ridiculous offer sheet from Carolina; I imagine they'd do the same for Hudler if he were to return. Of course, Huds is no Feds, but my point remains the same.
