red at home. its more traditional than the white at home tradition.

a bust is a player that doesn't accomplish anything. Lindros played for 13 seasons and averaged more than a point a game. he didn't live up to the hype, but he's certainly not a bust.
-
someone who plays 13 seasons in the NHL and has a PPG better than 1 is not a bust.
-
Just like Gilbert Perreault and Marcel Dionne. ******* losers.
-
i think some people are unclear on what makes someone a bust. 13 seasons and a 1.14 PPG average doesn't make a player a bust.

all time: Bobby Hull - Wayne Gretzkey - Gordie Howe Luc Robataille - Mario Lemieux - Maurice Richard Johnny Bucyk - Phil Esposito - Guy Lafleur Ted Lindsay - Henri Richard - Mike Bossy Bobby Orr - Doug Harvey Eddie Shore - Nicklas Lidstrom Ray Bourque - Vladimir Konstantinov Terry Sawchuk Jacques Plante red wings: Ted Lindsay - Sid Abel - Gordie Howe Brendan Shanahan - Steve Yzerman - Mickey Redmond Vyacheslav Kozlov - Alex Delvecchio - Larry Aurie Gerard Gallant - Sergei Fedorov - Bob Probert Nicklas Lidstrom - Vladimir Konstantinov Red Kelly - Ebbie Goodfellow Chris Chelios - Jack Stewart Terry Sawchuk Chris Osgood i did my best to keep everyone at their natural positon. i also tried to choose players who are most closely associated with the red wings. chelios is one exception, but he's played for us almost as long as he's played for anyone else.

i can't see lidstrom taking much of a discount. at 37 he's still the best defenseman in the league and worth every penny the wings give him.
-
4 games and 4 points in the AHL. i can't wait to see this kid up with the big club.
-
Matthias - probably another wasted promising prospect..

i don't think junior numbers show a whole lot. Nathan Robinson once scored 110 points in an OHL season. -
Best and worst Wings decisions in the last 10 years.
HomeNugget replied to daniel1's topic in General
best move: trading for shanahan there isn't really a worst move that sticks out in my mind. i disagree with anyone who says that trading kozlov was bad. i love kozlov. he was always one of my favorites. the only wings jersey i own is a kozlov jersey, but saying his trade was a bad move is like saying it was a bad decision to win a stanley cup in 2002. -
dig the Stripes reference. i got nothing. i concede the argument.
-
i disagree. if that's the case then the nfl didn't exist until the nfl-afl merger in 1966. the nba didn't exist until 1976 when it merged with the aba. then the nhl officially came into existence in 1979 when it merged with the wha. that would make it the second youngest league. anyone can see that this logic is stupid. when the AL and NL merged they didn't form a new league.

25 is fair. though i think it woulda been better if they tied him to a chair and then beat his face with a hockey stick. 25 games is good too, i suppose.

Do any Red Wing players read this forum?

Bill Wirtz memorial/moment of silence booed by Blackhawk fans
HomeNugget replied to Wings_Fan_In_Exile's topic in General
i'm kinda torn on this. on one hand the fans shoulda been more respectful, but on the other, if they didn't want him to get booed they shouldn't have had a memorial at a blackhawks game. it wasn't really a secret how much the fans hated him. lets say claude lemieux died. how do you think the crowd would react if they held a memorial service for him at a red wings home game? -
i believe it was julie "the cat" gaffney. i think you confused her with cat stevens.

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=219389&hubname=nhl there's a link here. it was a pretty good goal.
-
the Red Wings would have won if they had Ovechkin instead of Calder. we should have let Ovechkin play for us.
-
so... mclaren lost all their constuctor pints. how 'bout that?
-
he's had some bad luck, but i'm confident he'll eventually dominate in the nhl just as he's dominated in every other league or international tournament he's played in.
-
last year he lacked size and ice time and still scored 15 goals. i think even at point last season he led the league in goals per time on ice.
-
that news is about a week old
-
hudler could have broke out last year if he had the ice time.
