delvecchio is the most deserving after howe and yzerman. 23 years with the wings and he was captain for more than half of those years. it wasn't Lindsay's fault he was traded. i think he was as much a wing as the other four guys. his number deserves to be up there.

i agree. delvecchio was also captain for a dozen seasons. he was yzerman before yzerman.

i think fans for the four teams are always there. its just people don't want to come out and watch a team that sucks unless it the lions. i'm a fan of the simpsons. if the show started being drawn and voiced by a bunch of children i'd stop watching. if it then went back to how it was before i'd come back. it doesn't make me fair weather, it just means i don't like watching stupid bull s***. its the same with sports. i've given up on the lions for now. i catch a game now and then, but i'm not gonna really start following them until they give me something to follow. i'm not upset that other teams outsell the wings. its the way things go. tigers went to the world series, wings lost in the first round. if the wings want better sales they should win a couple playoff series.

it was fan satisfaction rankings. believe it or not too many people aren't satisfied with the red wings.

i found that the other night. i posted it in the fighting thread earlier. not bitching that you reposted, just mentioning. i think its great. he's as determined in that fight as he was when he was doing anything else on the ice. on a sidenote, it makes me a little sad to talk about steve in the past tense. anyone else feel that way?

i think orr was better than gretzky, but to say he was nothing special is completely retarded. i'm going to let it slide though because judging by the way you type you are obviously drunk out of your skull. and mario and stevie both contributed a lot to their cup runs but their teams didn't exactly suck without them.

Fernando Alonso was the best driver in the world last year and he's the best driver this year. his team this year, Mclaren, isn't as good as his old team, Renault. this would be the only thing holding him back. and Raikkonen is better than any NASCAR driver.

but harvey played in a more talented, tougher league. and i think the goalie pads and medical assistance is more of an argument against lidstrom than against harvey.

i know it doesn't mean much. all i was saying is that howe would know better then a lot of people who didn't play against either of them, like most of the people who voted on THN's list.
