At his current pace he should get it. Right now he's scoring .78 points a game and 19 points in the next 24 games would be .79.
-
If his 200 wins account for 65.8% of his games coached, shouldn't his wining percentage be 0.658?

They actually spoke about this on NHL Home Ice a week or so back, and it brings up a good point. If fighting is banned in the major junior leagues then eventually you'll start to weed out the hockey players that can't play hockey in the NHL. Guys like Derek Boogaard and Eric Godard. I'd be in favor of this.

I'm of the opinion that players should be fighting without helmets; especially now since so many players wear visors. It's like Schmack mentioned, no one suggests that the NFL ban tackling when players get paralyzed. And what about Mixed Martial Arts? Those guys beat the hell out of each other, and no one seems to care. The only problem I have with fighting in NHL is the way it goes down. Two guys who have no problem with each other agreeing to fight to justify their place on the team. I wouldn't mind seeing the NHL adopt a rule that ejects a player for fighting if he averages less than 10 minutes of ice time per game. Another rule could give players an extra penalty for fighting with a visor. Then just get rid of the instigator and fighting, in my opinion, will be fixed.

Fedorov had more defensive skill and more offensive skill. He may not have brought it every game, but he brought it when it counted. If it was overtime of game 7 in the Stanley Cup finals and I could only have Hossa or Fedorov on my team I'd choose Fedorov 11 times out of 10.

So every playoff game should be a 6-0 win with a 40-27 shot advantage for the Wings? Does that sound realistic? The way we're getting wins right now is how we'll be getting wins come April.
-
This makes my day. Does anyone know where I might be able to watch it online?
-
I disagree. Hockey would be more fun to watch if players from opposing teams hated each other.
-
Letting up on an opponent is sportsmanship? Or just silly?

Exactly. I read the winning coach got fired. Meanwhile the losing coach hasn't won a game in four years and just got blown out 100-0. How is that fair? -
I'm not sure it's a legal signing. The kid's only 8. Shouldn't the Penguins have to wait for him declare for the draft, go undrafted, and then offer him a free agent contract? I'm not sure what Ray Shero is trying to pull, but I hope the league looks into this.

Fedorov in a landslide. Very few players were as good as Fedorov was in his prime.

Nabokov has allowed a combined 11 goals the last two games against Detroit. Do you think McLellan will start sitting him against high intensity/skill level teams?
-
They also like to believe that his stint with the Islanders exposed him as a bad goalie. Nevermind the fact that with Osgood in net the Islanders won twice as many games as the previous season and made the playoffs for the first time in eight years. Osgood's numbers were also similar to the numbers he put up in Detroit. I know Osgood hasn't been playing well at all this year, but I'm not ready to give up on him just yet. With only a few exceptions, he has always raised his game in the playoffs. I'm confident Osgood will come through when we need him the most.
-
I'm not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me. After last season he wrote an article naming Brian Burke the GM of the year. This guy is an idiot.
-
Zetterberg and Kronwall to LA for Dustin Brown and Kyle Quincey. Get it done, Kenny.
-
Exactly. If Osgood only has good numbers because he played for the Wings then his numbers would have dropped off when he played for the Islanders and Blues. The whole "Osgood owes his great numbers to the Red Wings" argument is completely without merit. If Osgood played his entire career with Toronto and had the same stats and achievements he'd be a lock for the Hall of Fame.

You can say the exact same thing about every sport.

So what?
-
Our first win will come in 2018. Thats how long it will take to wash off the Millen Stink.
-
Nabokov and Turco were my goalies too. Turco has been the biggest disappointment in fantasy hockey this year. I traded him along with Franzen for Carey Price and my season is starting to turn around.

At least we'll be in the history books for something. What a low point for the Lions. I don't wish harm on anyone, but nothing is getting better for the Lions or their fans until Bill Ford is dead. I'm gonna go finsih this bottle of vodka. Na Zdrowie.

They look nice, but I'd prefer something more old school. I was hoping for something like this:

I've also heard that the didn't record secondary assists back in the day either. Adding those could boost his number as well. Edit: Nevermind. I just fact checked myself and found that secondary assists were awarded back in the day. You can disregard this post.

It was just a sarcastic post. My point is you can't determine where his stick was by drawing lines on a picture in photoshop.
-
So we have two pictures with two different lines. One showing that stick was above the crossbar, and another showing the stick was below the crossbar. I have created a third picture to break the tie. This picture clearly illustrates to me that the stick was in fact below the crossbar.
