    Alex Radulov returning nhl playoffs?

Radulov, I believe, only has the one year left on his entry level deal. I think part of him not playing over here is because he'd have to play a whole year at $800,000 and he's probably making upwards of 5 mil without taxes over there. If your scenario is correct, this seems to work out for both parties. Radulov gets a shortened season at that money and gets to become a FA and Nashville gets him for their attempt at a deep playoffs run.

    Patrick Sharp

I didn't watch the game last night but I just read the title of the game wrap on TSN, enough to find out the P.Sharp was at it again. Biggest Wings killer in the league. Anybody have a clue why this guy owns us? I wish the Hawks would of kept Big Buff over Sharp... Please bring on the completely false and greatly exaggerated. I want another reason to dislike the White, Black and Red. They have become the team version of HWSNBN to me.
  3. Lol. Almost just posted that myself. I wasn't a big Commodore fan but I'm not sure why (unless you think Janik is better) that you trade defensive depth right before the playoffs.

    Patrick Sharp

Nope. Malkin and Marleau are awesome players too...be we own them.
  5. Jordan Pearce...yuck. It's getting bad.

    Legacy of Ken Holland

I wonder what Boston wanted from us for Bourque. If I remember correctly, it was the Wings, Flyers, and Avs in on that.

    LMBO. Well played, Sir.

Just Say 'No' to Mikael Samuelsson

I don't see why Florida trades him anyway. He is a guy that can contribute offensively and that's what they need for a shot at/in the playoffs. He's the type of guy they will probably try to acquire before the deadline as it is.

    Ericsson out One Month

I don't want to see guys get hurt but this will probably help Kindl and Commodore and certianly will decrease the times I scream at my tv.
  10. #1...Quincey isn't and should have never been viewed as a top 2 defenseman. Speaks to how thin they are in Colorado. #2...The Avs have a horrible GM that makes it seem as if he has no idea where the team should be headed. If I were an Avs player, I would have seriously thought about moving on after the Varlamov trade. If I hadn't already have after the Stewart/Shattenkirk deal. #3...There was talk of lockerroom troubles last year when they traded Anderson and co. Maybe Quincey isn't stupid. #4...Maybe Quincey is stupid. He'll be humbled or shipped out from here tho if that's the case, I believe.

2/23 GDT : Canucks 4 at Red Wings 3 (SO)

That sounds like a conspiracy theory to me. People watched the Finals last year...a lot of people. They seen first hand what the majority of the Nucks are about. They looked to me like a team that felt they were entitled to win, an overall arrogance. Which is coming from a team that has never won anything. Boston played like that attitude pissed them off and did something about it. NHL players just voted them the most overrated team in the NHL and I've heard quite a bit of hatred from other players towards them. Oddly enough, the team the Nucks probably want to emulate is us, and I hear 98% respect throughout the league for us.
  12. Yea, I heard something about Piche being a throw-in because of some roster size rule or something. I never seen anything about him that suggested we should waste 3 seconds wondering what might have been.

I know! But it is the kind of thing he would do and you can almost feel it coming. Oh, and Majsheppard...Quincey just roofed it on Lou...paying instant dividends.

    Carter to LA

Yeah, for real. Can we please give the kid a chance. He's had too much responsibility in LA and Colorado. Kind of like Ian White. On a better team with less pressure maybe he will flourish, like White. I already like his physical play too.

    Carter to LA

How great would it be if the Kings thought Big Rig was worth being part of a Brown trade. That would be beautiful.

Please no Sammy, please. Holland's probably gonna go after Lilja and trade our 2013 1st rounder for Mattias Ritola. Ugh.

Yes! A younger Brendan Morrow type. Get er done Kenny.

    Carter to LA

Yea man, I don't agree. This is substantial return for a guy with a huge contract who basically gave Columbus no leverage by being openly unhappy about being there. Johnson is better than Voracek and the pick could possibly yield someone as good as Couturier, although not likely. If they would have got Johnson and a first for what they gave up for Carter it could argued that Columbus would be a better team for it, considering their needs. But after Carter's debacle, this deal looks even better.

So I Met Some NHLers Yesterday

I seen Jimmy Howard and his girlfriend at 12 Oaks in Novi. It was when he first came up, when Osgood got hurt, and he got to play quite a bit. I had my infant daughter with me and we talked about her (his gf commented on her), about a game that had just happened or was about to (against Dallas l, I think), and about Osgood. I think I shook his hand and wished him well. 3 months later he had basically solidified himself as our goalie of the future. Pretty nice kid too. I played against the Wings alumni in a charity game and was lined up against Mickey Redmond for most the game. We chirped a lot and I gave him a little friendly little hack or two. Great guy. Scored on one of the Wings goalies from the 80's. I seen Mikael Samuelsson at Ikea (ironic, I know). Didn't talk to him though. Pretty sure I seen the majority of the Wings management at Iridescense in Motor City. They walked right by my table. I think it was Yzerman, Nill, and a few more. Didn't get to talk to them though. That would of been a dream. Hung out at a party with Andy Greene, currently with the Devils. Cool guy, told me about how much of a tool a certain NHL'er is. Funniest experiance though...seen a kid at 12 Oaks that I would have swore was Abdelkader. Asked him his name and said he looked like Abby. He looked at his gf and said "I told you so". I was puzzled, he said that he told her that people kept thinking he was Abdelkader. The ironic part is that he is actually a Boston prospect who played at Northern Michigan, Zach Trotman. I think he was the last player taken in his draft year. That's sweet man. I think I messaged you during that time about possibly coming up there and where to hang out. Sounds like it would of been a blast.

I'm not gonna hate, I've got a friend that has played with and hangs with pro level players and its not always heresy. If that's true, it would be awesome. If we signed Weber it would be basically the best way that we could replace Nick. I've always been a Preds fan (unless they played the Wings) and that move may be devastating to way more than just their roster.
  21. Lol. I don't know about Kindl and Tatar straight up for him, but a trade for Morrow for some concoction involving some of those two and a pick would be fantastic. Having Morrow would be unbelievable for this team. A 2nd line, point producing forward with a ultra competitive old school demeanor would just be fantastic.
  22. This. I would be surprised to see Stu back now anyway because i would hope we didnt trade a 1st for a 3rd pairing guy. I would imagine they want to give Quincey Stuart's playing time.

Datsyuk Dominates in the HNIC Players Poll

Love seeing this. Datsyuk is the best all around player in the NHL and worth the price of admission if you know what your watching. So thankful to have him on our team.

Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

If Columbus is big on low upsides, spare parts, and failed prospects.
