Yea, I'm only 24. Was just told I was in fourth grade when we won our first Cup. The first season I watched was 95, so as much as I hate to say it, I'm a little lost as to who your referencing.
-
Um, actually that's sad to me. A guy, alone, that's so drunk he can't stand and people video taping him for fun. Isn't that guys best day, for sure. TPBM thinks we're still going to end up with a new goalie before the trade deadline...
-
Aaron Ward? Lol
-
Yea, take that Sydney Krosbee!
-
He's just coming back from injury and he's signed for next year. Otherwise it would make sense.

How is Brett Lebda not on this list? If we took Mindfly out and replaced him with Lebda we'd have a hatred power play... Hudler. Crosby. Lemieux Lebda. Williams Snow
-
Mindfly was at the top of my personal list. It seems though that a lot of people here have become rather numb to his mindless rantings and are sometimes mildly amused by it. Guess I haven't been around long enough. My vote of Hudler, speaking for what I believe most would say, comes from the fact that he recieves the greatest amount of seething, merciless, near hatred from the greater part of LGWer's. The special kind, reserved only for the likes of Crosby,Brett Lebda, and Jimmy Howard on a bad night. LOL. That's what I thought. As soon as I read the title, Mindfly and Evan G-Unit 0 popped into the think tank. Little surprised when I read on, even though Mindfly still made the cut.

Thank you.

Currently: Jiri Hudler. Can we start a thread called "Least talented player LGWers have a love affair with?"

Here's who I believe to be a reasonable dark horse candidate: Martin Gerber. Should cost next to nothing (5-6th rnd pick), performed well in his few games at NHL level this year, contract is up after season I believe, and makes somewhere around league minimum if I'm not wrong.
-
I doubt very seriously that any contending team would trade their backup lest he were awful, at which point Kenny probably wouldn't want him either. Smith- NO, has been so awful that Steve shopped for another goal. Auld, Theodore- NO, see comment on contender above. Boucher-No, and the biggest no of all. Philly probably isn't remotely considering going into a playoffs in which they don't have an experianced veteran to turn to. On top of that, Boucher has been a playoff performer before. Hedberg- Only real possibility here and I, for one, will pass. He should only be considered if Osgood is done for the year.

Here's a guy who essentially re-ruined a franchise by trading for Yashin and DiPietro. Two guys with less than spotless attitudes... I imagine die hard Islander fan's (all 14 of them) ears burn when he speaks. Us Detroiters should call him Matt Milbury.

Maybe Wang was going to interview the aging goalie to replace Snow as GM. Nabby's got this all wrong...
-
If I'm Murray... Foligno, Michalek, Regin, Karlsson, and Cowen stay. Spezza could probably only go to the "desperate for a playmaking center" Leafs but who knows if Ottawa would even do that. Gonchar's contract is a millstone. Kuba's contract is too. Phillips, Alfredsson, Kovalev, and Fisher are their pieces and need to be shipped. Hopefully, for them, they can come out with a top-4 dman, a goalie prospect, and a couple extra picks.

Oh my. One of my favorite posts in awhile. Well said.

Slow down, bud. We're not there yet. I really don't think the Wings are giving up on Howard yet at all. I really like Jimmy as a goalie, but after the last month plus and Osgood's injury, I'd be in the market for the next best option available for the playoffs/insurance. Which Nabby is.
-
I can see this being Kenny doing Nabby a favor, getting him back in some games with anyone before the season ends, then signing him for next year for the favor. Generally, anyway. I can't see how this isn't going to amount to something for us eventually.
-
I second that. The only comparision between the two where I would take Emery is in who I think would win the fight.
-
Andy Greene, NJD - A couple years ago I hung out with him at a party. He's from Trenton. Talked about general NHL life, what Brodeur is like, etc. Talked about how Ray Emery acted in the Finals with OTT and what other NHLer's think of him Zach Trotman, BOS draft pick - I wouldnt even bring this up but it a funny story. Seen this kid in Nordstrom's in 12 Oaks. I, very seriously, thought it was Justin Abdelkader. He was pretty tall and had his hair long, curly, and reddish. It was his friggin' twin. I asked him his name and he looked at me like he was going to lie (like it was Abby and he didnt want to be bothered). He instead turned to his GF and told her "I told you". I asked him what he meant and he said he gets that all the time. He said his name is Zack and its funny that he gets it because he plays hockey too, for LSSU. We laughed and I left, me not really believing him, for whatever reason. When I left I googled him on my phone....a kid named Zach that plays for LSSU. Turns out it was Zach Trotman, picture and all, last years Mr. Irrelevant (last player taken in the draft).

Things to consider... Kenny has some serious man love for Chris Osgood and we are a pretty upstanding organization. I have a hard time believing Kenny is doing this knowing he has about a 3.67% chance that no one picks up Evgeni. If that were the case, he probably just nearly killed Jimmy Howard's (what I believe to be) fragile confidance. All of a sudden, in one high risk (goalie moral wise) move, Osgood probably thinks Kenny believes his season (or career) is over, Jimmy thinks he isn't/cant be THE guy, and McDonald thinks he can't even be a backup during an injury. Since we've explored most other crazy scenarios, its seems that is indeed what is happening or the other 27 teams have been told by Nabby's agent that he won't play for them. I also think its pretty far fetched that we would negotiate with Nabby 100% for another team in hopes that they would put Johan Hedberg or some other journeyman backup on the trade block for us. NJ knows theyd have first dibs on waivers, why dont they sign him? Why go through this mess.

Jimmy Howard-Last year at 12 Oaks. He was just shopping with his GF. It was right before he started stealing the show. We talked about Ozzie, the Stars, and how cute my baby was. Pretty cool dude
-
I don't think its a stretch to say that if Osgood, with a wonky groin, comes back this season (and we sign Nabby...) he won't be given his "fair" shot. If he even plays, I doubt he gets enough starts by the playoffs to prove himself. Combine that with the odds that Nabby or Howard outplay him, and its all but over for Ozzie this season. Also, cap-wise, I don't see how this works without some money off the books. I would certainly expect Hudler to be on the block if this goes through...
-
Yea. A third would be plenty. I'm not sure Kenny is going to pick anyone up unless Modano is done for the year. If everyone is healthy, Draper would be 2nd in the healthy scratch line so we'd be pretty deep already forward wise. I think we do need someone who can seriously bang bodies and even mildly intimidate though. (No, Drew Miller is not the answer )

Kronwall is useless tongiht.

Incredible. That missed call reminds me of the horrendous officiating during last years playoffs.
