Im not being a hater but if you dont understand why that was his best shift, you need to take a renewed interest understanding the game.

Datsyuk is a magician. I've watched a ton of great players in my time but no one compares to how fun it is to watch this guy do what he does...wow

Welcome. I'm not sure how well his translate into post 35 play...he's smart but small and not as strong as Pavel. Yea...I don't see Smith getting it. Dekeyser and Andersson, i think, will be leaders. Kronwall is younger than Z...he might get it for a couple years. If I were coach though, it would be Darren Helm. When that kid is healthy he sets the tone with his work ethic and is a clutch playoff performer.

That has far more to do with our declining talent and declining drive to actually win. Almost every player on the team had won the Cup when Ozzy left and it was painfully obvious to me that we didn't want it as badly as other teams.

Right. I bet Blueadams thought Osgood was Sawchuck reincarnate too...Jimmy may be, talent wise, only surpassed by Sawchuck, Hall, Hasek, and Joseph in our team history. I've said it before and ill say it again, Jimmy Howard has stole more games for us in his short career than Osgood ever did and I watch less games now than I did when Ozzy was playing. Jimmy haters blow my mind.

I don't like to call Franzen "captain" anything but in theory...if anyone is more clutch from Mid-March on through the playoffs than Franzen has been since '07, I don't know about them. Thus he would be Captain of team Clutch. Or maybe this guy is...

Your right, on one hand. I'm not gonna try to find the quote but I think St. Louis actually said aomething about playing with Stamkos will probably extend his career several years and I would agree. I don't think St. Louis puts up these numbers at this stage in his career withoutStamkos.
