It was pretty even with the penalties last night. As long as we keep the opposing team off the board, like we did last night, then it all comes down to puck luck, no? ...and there's no shoot-out in the playoffs, right? As far as our scoring slump being broken... doesn't happen in my mind until Z has a goal or multiple assists in consecutive games.

NBCSN had a small highlight package of Dekeyser last night. Watching some of his outlet/first passes... wow. just WOW. Cannot believe we've got such a bright, young, d-man in the fold. Really impressive for his experience level. He needs no nickname.

Yes, "lack of care" is different than apathy, if that's what you're getting at.

Really disagree with the notion that mistakes are caused by lack of caring, I'm doubting that any player on the Wings wants this team to lose. I may have questions on some player's "compete" and "skill" levels, but level of care concerning winning and losing... that I have no questions about. I do have questions on why our coach doesn't question or challenge some player's "compete" levels by benching players accordingly.

I'm pretty sure we all have our opinions about what this team is made of, who are the stand-outs, who are the cast-offs. This week will show the true make-up of this team. Play hard -- every game, every shift. Win and you're in. Take a shift off, or a game for granted, and you've settled for allowing other teams to determine your playoff destiny. Hoping it's the former and not the latter.

Probably not a "grand return," (lol!) but my interest is always piqued when these types of statements come to the surface... especially when there is a chance that Fil walks.

Well, if that's truly the case... I'm a bit intrigued at what the pieces/prospects/picks that any of those teams were willing to give up to grab up Val. Moving up in the draft with Fil's rights would be acceptable if he's looking for a massive payday and he's not going to re-sign here. I've been non-plussed about his play this year, but I'm still torn about moving the guy. If he walks and signs elsewhere without something in return, I will not be happy.
