I think that would be the part that clued me in...

It's an excuse, just like any other one. It's not an excuse that I'm going to accept. They are professionals. Playing 82 games PLUS multiple rounds in the playoffs is what they are paid to do. I don't think any of the Wings players would accept this as an excuse either.

Please, let's not discuss the merits of fuggin' Coldplay on this board. (There are none) I would love to see the LEAGUE give Cooke a reality check. ...and that's just for a warm up.

So, again... it's more than Moore/Bert Booth/Richards Cooke/Savard. When are FANS of the NHL going to take a stand and say that these hits are NOT OKAY?

um, you made my point... we're BEYOND Bert/Moore = Cooke/Savard. IT DODESN'T equate. Bert was "ordered" by his coach to hunt down Moore. (INSERT JACK PALANCE: Believe it or not!) Cooke took it upon himself to take out Savard with a head shot (LEGAL OR NOT...) EDIT: double O s mess me up.

F**K that THAT This is the first time I've ever taken any sort of stance for or againt a goaltender in the "modern=era" of the Red Wings... and I'm *NOT* talking about the years that I used to listen to the game in the third period on a clock radio from my bedside after cub-scout meetings. (DEAD-WINGS ERA) Chris Osgood has been a solid goal-tender for umpteen years with the Wings, outside of the Wings, and beyond... but the guy is DONE. (if only you could see how hard I punched D O N E) It's just the way it is... I love the guy. He was the guy to go to... I HATED VERNON. HATED HASEK. BUT... Howard needs a chance... he's getting it and he needs a capable backup... If Osgood doesn't realize that's he's role at this point... well, **** him. I love this team and hate this team in the same breath because of it's goaltender situation, which has existed for as long as I can remember... if no one else wants to recognize that... SO BE IT. (hopefully you can all smile when I return to sobriety and excuse this outburst... but it's LONG overdue.) Did you guys see the player reaction videos on TSN in reaction to the non-suspension? St. Louis and Lecalavier really call out Cooke, there seems to be quite a bit of distain for him. "I Can't Believe It"
