I don't disagree that a single defenseman is not the answer. Also, and I'm quite sure that you'd (mostly) agree... there's not one single defenseman that could make a difference like Lidstrom in the league today... at least one that's readily available.

I'm more willing to trade DeKeyser for Trouba than Mrazek. It could just be a lateral move when everything pans out, but having the possiblity of a top pairing RH defenseman for years to come is something I think we should pull the trigger on.

1. Matthews will make a bigger impact for his team than Eichel or McDavid. 2. Jimmy Howard will be traded at or before the trade deadline. 3. We will get an upgrade at defense, but it won't be any of the names thrown around this past off season. Unfortunately, I don't think those first two are very bold, but I really endorse that third predicition.
