Agreed. It is really a novelty at this point and really? ANOTHER outdoor game for the Wings and Leafs? This has everything to do with Toronto wanting some kind of NHL event for their anniversary. They should be hosting the draft seeing how they most likely will be picking very high again. Might be the only bright spot for their 100th anniversary.

Drew Miller is a fourth line player. He is rated. Not overrated or underrated. He does his job on the PK and is 'what he is.' Tons of players can kill penalties, it's just whether they should be. I could easily say that Sheahan and Helm are being wasted on the fourth line as they have more potential and are better players... ...but I don't completely disagree. Helm and Sheahan are doing a fine job on the fourth because they are versatile players. Helm playing on the fourth is fine. He should be a fourth line or third line player tops... but do you remember when Sheahan was poised to become our second line center. He's fallen off BIG TIME. I am disappoint.

Maybe for a few hours, but if they also win today against Pittsburgh... we'll still be in the same situation. So, we'll see. Looking for the season sweep today!

C'mon guys! It's "Hockey Day in America" Get with the program. Islanders will be looking for a win to get out of that Wild Card spot. We need a win to keep pace with or gain points on FLA - who also play today - as well as extend our points lead on BOS and TBL. If we use that mentality, is there's now a question if Rask is truly Boston's number one? I don't think so. You dress a back-up so you have a goaltender that's having an off day, they can be replaced. Sure, the situation in Detroit has been tenuous at best this year, but I don't think pulling Petr after giving up five goals on less than 20 shots means that you're questioning his starter/#1 status. Also, I don't think just because Petr is the number one it doesn't mean that we don't have the right to criticize an off game.
