I'm sure this is an autocorrect mishap, but I have to ask... why did you let the pie get old? ... and/or is 'tossing pie' like 'tossing salad'?

Shutout loss would have been hilarious... but Kadri scored. #FREEKADRI Only their second goal in five games. In the last five games, they've been outscored 15 - 2. The frustration on the part of the Leafs players was palpable as well. Just the highlights: Kessel looking to the rafters and "re-doing" his shot attempt after missing a tasty open net. Phaneuf roaming the ice just looking to fight someone -- "Hello, Staal brothers!" Franson smashing his stick on net after missing blocking E. Staal's EN goal at the end of regulation. Phaneuf might have gotten the better of the Staal brothers in hits and the fight, but the look on Eric Staal's face at the end of the game when he tees up that slapper at Phaneuf is in-*******-credible. Just seething.

TB's Paquette learns the hard way, don't start **** w Chara

No, it was more like "He's A STAR PLAYER! NO ONE SHOULD TOUCH HIM! He's sacred and holy and how dare that fourth line "hack" take exception to be wrapped up by him! Also, please disregard my earlier comments about Chara taking on Paquette because they are totally in opposition to what I just said." That's Jack Edwards in a nutshell. Hypocritical ******-nozzle. Over the top and to the edge. I think Kip's got him pretty much figured out. Used to think it was comical, but now it's just plain ridiculous. Everyone has their likes and dislikes when it comes to their announce team, but this guy's just a frigging joke. -

Custance has the right idea. There's no reason for us to make a trade for a goalie. -

Thanks for posting this... The double standard of Bruins commentary is ridiculous. Nobody gives a s*** if Krejci lead the league in scoring in the playoffs TWICE, Jack. The game is getting chippy and I'm sorry, there's plenty of time for Krejci to just skate away instead of mucking it up with Brown. Same for Paquette with Chara. ...but of course, that's totally deserved. "Writing checks" and "Spittin' chickets", eh, Jack... Brickley? Whatever. You two are the absolute worst. The rest of their commentary throughout the rest of the game was despicable. Once he realizes that he might get back on the ice... you can hear Edwards salivating at the prospect of JT Brown getting his comeuppance. He's the "hack", not Brown. No, it's most definitely waiverzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. -

Paquette went after him again at the end of the game... again, was an ineffective move on his part. Also in the game, JT Brown went after Kreiji... for the rest of the game Jack Edwards was just salivating at the thought of Brown getting back on the ice so retribution could be dealt. Need to find the video but dear lord, he's a sad man. -
Mike Yeo (Wild) Has Meltdown At Practice

Six straight losses for the Wild giving up at least five goals in each of those losses. Whew, that's rough. -

All reports say, "Yes." They're still subject to penalties, but there are fights. To the joy of some and dismay of just as many. -
Do we need a trade to get our offence going ?
e_prime replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
No offense, man... but in exactly what world does this happen?? I guess the same in which Holland makes a trade for a veteran RH d-man that could help this team, not only now, but for the long run. -

e_prime replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
So, not only do we need the RH puck moving d-man... but to deserve one, we need to play better? I'm of the mind-set that sustained performance such that we saw in November was an anomaly. ...that we can't and won't see it again without a significant roster shake-up. How's that for doom and gloom, krsmith? -

Dragged this over from the Lines Thread ( it didn't really belong there) If we can't win games with Pav, Z, and Kronner being "relatively" healthy... and our youth playing relatively well... We just don't have right pieces to contend. We have bursts of good play, but because we can't keep up the play we had back in November... Unless Holland is willing to stand pat and eek our way into the playoffs again... (oh! yay! #sarcasm) It's becoming pretty obvious that this roster needs a shake up if we want to win another Cup with our current core. I think we can all agree that we still need a solid puck-moving D-man for us to contend right now... ...and somebody/bodies need to get moved. Our current blue-line isn't going to magically turn the corner this season because we pray (or play) real hard. Certain young D-men that are playing well need to be given time to grow and progress, certain young D-men might be valuable trade assets should be traded. Veterans that aren't what we need to win -- need to go. Veterans that "do what they do" shouldn't be asked to do things they can't or shouldn't be doing and maybe one of these guys is expendable. In my opinion, these moves should happen sooner than later. Not to get us "to the hump" or "over the hump"... but because it's such an obvious need and it has been for some time. Prices aren't going to get any cheaper for a guy like this. Not via trade. Not in the offseason. Are we going to once again pray we can get someone in the offseason? Are we going to pray and hope that Holland can lure someone like Ehrhoff to our team with big bucks? ...or Mike Green at 6+ million or Cody Franson 5+ million, in the offseason? Great. Those would all be solid pickups. ...but then we still have a logjam on D, with the same problem children we currently have and none of our great prospects in GR able to rotate in. So what's it gonna be, Kenny? -
Moved this post over to the "Do we need a trade" thread where it belongs.

All the more reason for a trade. Although, the #1 piece I want moved in a trade is currently injured... so I dunno how that helps us at all. *sadface*
