I don't think Dom's style is ancient. It was a revolution in the 90's and it's still an unmatched style. And we can't say he hasn't been succesful this season. If you say something like this, you clearly have no notion of the person and athlete Dominik Hasek.

No, no, of course not! People's personal sexual preferences are nobody's business but their own!

Thank you all for a wonderful time!

Be strong and stay strong buddy !! You are really the one battling in OT.. I'm sure you'll win ! -
Ozzie doesn't get rattled by a lesser game or a temporary disappointment.. and that's all game 5 was. I'm confident he will have a strong outing this night.

Should I vent my emotions about this or not... YES, I WILL ! I can't believe how many times Marc-Andre Fleury was hyped to the point that every tiny save was being commented with "What an awesome save by Fleury" or "Yet another dazzling save by Fleury". I'm not attacking the player Fleury. But it made me sick to my stomach how those two commenting buffoons made him the next Ken Dryden. So I'm just going to say it: I think Fleury played a mediocre game at best. And here is why: (1) Granted, 55 saves is a lot. But let's be honest, of those 55 there were at least 30 to 35 easy, simple butterfly stops. It's not like the Red Wings were aiming into the corners. Most of the shots went through the middle. He only had to go down on his knees and control his rebounds. In the whole game he had like 5/6 tough saves to make, which he made nicely. (2) He was caught out of position more than once, IMO. He tends to 'walk' the ice when he can't reach a side of the net with his butterfly. That makes him vulnerable and it's easy to notice, because he looks like he's tripping over an invisible rope. Which brings me to my next point: (3) Marty Turco is a great puckhandler. Chris Osgood is not that great of a puckhandler. He knows this, so he keeps it simple. Fleury is also no a great puckhandler but he acts like he is. It's only because of a large portion of luck and the presence of his teammates that he didn't lost the puck 4/5 times. He's not even close to controlling the puck besides the plain stopping of it. Again, this is notagainst the person MA Fleury. I really don't care. It's those stupid exxagerating comments ... I hate it !!!!! [edit: spelling]

You don't think last night's win gave them confidence and energy when no one gave them a real chance ?
-
I admire your optimism and enthusiasm, Hank. But I'll be a happy with any win. And winning by a landslide on their home-rink no less ?? ... that's might be a little bit too much. Just one win.

You don't have to say 'sorry', buddy ! I can take it

In the first OT he stopped 20 shots. Not a single one of them was difficult. Even the glovesave (" Oooo, Fleury comes up with a huge glovesave !!!") he made wasn't that difficult. Clear sight, not a hard shot, 20 inches to his left, shoulder-high while he was on his knees. I would have gloved that one. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and you certainly don't have to agree with me, but I just don't think Fleury 'stole' the game or was as mindblowing as all those comments made him to be.

I think you're wrong. i think it will do no harm. Babcock is an expert on motivational speaking and the guys have learned the hard way they have to keep battling and battling and battling and battling and battling... all game long. You want the Cup ? GO GET IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yep.... not really a suprise. Welcome to the Detroit. For the record: Ozzie stopped Talbot's initial shot, but it's kinda hard for a goaltender to stop a guy from hacking at the puck two times when he's on the ground.. Your defensemen should do that.
-
let's not blow this out of proportion. Fleury goes into butterfly and we shoot it in the middle of the net... the puck just hits him. It's not like their the saves of a lifetime..
-
That would be awesome !

Watch and learn, Therrien.

It was no interference.

Yep... The man has been a rock. Leave him the F alone. We lost, big deal. The Stanley Cup Finals is not a 1-week Caribbean cruise..

Among all 5482 articles published last week about Chris Osgood, this one is pretty decent and fresh. Not bad.

PIT columnist: Reputations falling as fast as Penguins
interminded replied to DRAPES RULES's topic in General
Let's be honest, the dude doesn't like his own hometown NHL-team. It's just too obvious,. To be negative and trying to point what's going wrong is one thing, but he's just flatout sarcastic. It's a funny read, but a little bit too much, IMO. -
If the Pens lose this game, it's the backbreaker. They won't recover from that. If they win, it might get interesting. Although I doubt if they can really make it difficult for the Red Wings.
