Man, some of us are really f-ing spoiled. We lost a game, so be it. What ? You guys thought this would be a stroll through the park and we would win 65 games ? Sure, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But Darren McCarty is not Joe Kocur. Some people talk about Kocur like he was playing for years in some beer league to make it a fairytale like story, but that wasn't the case. He played merely 5 games in the HL before the Wings brought him back to play 34 games in the 96-97 season. Bottom line is: We don't need Darren McCarty. It's simple as that.

Cleary wants to stay in Detroit and Kenny wants him to stay. The question is: Cleary knows he can probably earns a million more per year if hits the market. But probably on a team that's not that competitive as the Wings. Does he choose money or a great team where he fits in nicely in a franchise that wants an can win every season ?

He signed a try out contract for 25 games. That's not a 'real' contract.. I doubt Mac will make the NHL again though. He's a cool guy and he obviously has found the dedication to at it again, but let's be real: The fact he is not playing in the NHL is for a reason... Deep down we all know that, I guess.

Okay, this one needs a little explaining. IMO, Tim Thomas is one of the most laidback and cool guys in the NHL.

As aformentioned, The Oilers were almost broke and needed the money. If it saves your franchise, than it's hardly a bad trade.
