I agree 100 %. The last time the dude put his skates on, he couldn't skate 2 feet.. I think it's very very unlikely he will play pro hockey again and if so, not in the NHL... and if so, not Detroit. The chances are too great.

ASG wise it's not that big of a loss.. Malkin is spectacular. For Pittsburgh it's tough one to swallow, that's for sure.

It seems like a lot of money, but Bryzgalov might just be the goaltender for the Yotes who can be the cornerstone for a young team developing. Smart move, IMO

With the players, goaltenders, coaching staff and management we have now, there's really no reason to think we cannot turn this 'slump' (although a 0-2-1 is not a slump really... the Sabres would be happy with 0-2-1 right now..) around rather quickly.. So basically you're saying Ozzie's good first half of the season was mostly luck ? And if he's playing above his ability, what is his ability ? How many years are watching hockey ? 2 ? 3 maybe ? Ozzie has been playing outstanding so far and has had two mediocre games with some bad luck and bad bounces. Big deal. I'm sure they haven't lost faith in Luongo, Brodeur or Vokoun in their respective cities when they had a rough time in the beginning of the season... which was far greater than just two bad games.
