Of course they won't dump Dom. The man has a bad stretch and will come out of it. Calm the f*** down all. I'm a huge Ozzie fan and if I had the choice I would like to see him play 82 games. But I can't believe how some of us stomp on a guy like Hasek just because he had some bad bounces. I can't believe Martin Brodeur, Mika Kiprusoff or Olaf Kolzig getting the same treatment from their fanbase !

While reading your post I suddenly realize you can read my comment earlier in a entirely different way. Because I meant: Hanlon was a mediocre goalie (back in the day..) and now he's a mediocre coach.

Last season, his regular season was awful as well. Only in the playoffs he managed to recover a little bit. He's a great talent, hands down...., but I don't like it when people make him into the next Fleury. With that kind of expectations the kid can only fail in a town like Detroit. Let's not do that to him. If he's ready, he's ready. If not, then I trust the Wings management to be smart enough to look in a different direction.

I have kind of the same feeling. Although I can't say I really dislike him. When he came to Detroit a year ago, I was worried he would be the ego-maniac he's known to be. However, he really wasn't and he blended it quite nicely with the Red Wings and with Oz in particular, which is important to me as an Oz-fan. This doesn't mean I'm all of sudden the dude's biggest fan. But I do think we as fans should treat him fair and not bash him around at the first chance we get. I saw that happen to Ozzie quite a lot over the years and it's not a nice thing. Like OsGod said: You don't have to like someone just because he puts on a Red Wings jersey. But since Dom represents our goals and dreams, the least we could do is support him .... and thus the greater good.

Nice piec about Fish on MLIVE: Fisher happy, but dreams of return.. I don't think he will return and I don't think he should. He cheated on death once... that's an opportunity most people don't even get.
