Dom Drops Ball, Ozzie Answers Call

I agree. I don't know what's whith Dom. Maybe he needs more time to get into the groove. Maybe he does show signs of slowing down. Maybe he can' play 40 + games anymore. Maybe this.. maybe that. I guess we just don't know.. but we'll find out sooner or later. Untill then, a coach should play his hot goaltender a little more... that's only common sense, right ?

    Wings Plane Slides Off Runway

A plane that slides of the runway sounds a lot heavier than a plane that got stuck in the mud while the pilot made a too wide turn on the runway. I guess it's not that serious. Not good though... Who was the pilot ? Joseph Hazelwood ??? report on St. Louis local news

Dom Drops Ball, Ozzie Answers Call

Well, that's the thing isn't it ? Babcock needs to keep Ozzie hot, because he is playing really well lately. On the other hand, he needs to get Dom back in shape, because even if Babcock wanted to.. Hasek is "useless" as a backup because he isn't the guy anymore to step in cold and perform without the risk of injuring himself. Babcock has some tough choices to make I guess.

Dom Drops Ball, Ozzie Answers Call

It's just one game people. If we would demote goalies to the bench after one bad game or a lesser period... NHL history would be very different. Brodeur, Luongo, Kipper... all three have been pulled already this season. It happens. Over the course of a 82 game season, s***ty games happen and even s***tier goals happen. Happened to Dom, might happen to Ozzie to. So let's be a little bit supportive. We're fans right ?

    Complicated Osgood Question

Similar ? Because Chris Osgood was a goalie too at age 23 ? That's about as similar as it gets at this point in Cam Ward's career.

    Goalie Questions

    I found this bit on forecaster.ca. If you want to read it, this is the link : GOALIE QUESTIONS But why not answer them ourselves ?? How many games will Miikka Kiprusoff, Evgeni Nabokov and Henrik Lundqvist play this season? I guess all three will play the bulk of the games this season. Between 65 and 70 I think. Is Martin Brodeur still the best goaltender in the NHL? Of course. The man is just adjusting to the Devils' more offensive style of playing. He'll bounce back and will finish with 35 wins. Can Jason LaBarbera, Pascal Leclaire, Dan Ellis and Chris Osgood keep up their great starts to '07-08? Depends on the amount of games played. LeClaire is the clearcut starter for the Blue Jackets, but I don't see him sporting a below 2.00 GAA with more than 50 starts. Is there a goaltending controversy brewing in Ottawa, Colorado, Minnesota, Boston and/or Montreal? Ottawa: As long as Gerber keeps playing like he is now, there's no controversy. Colorado: Slowly, Theodore is regaining his form. He's too expensive to be just a backup, so eventually I see him as Colorado's number 1 Minnesota: Maybe not a controversy, but Harding and Backstrom are close. Montreal: Carey Price is a talent without a doubt, but Huet has shown he is a number one guy. When will Cristobal Huet, Andrew Raycroft, Jose Theodore and Ilya Bryzgalov be traded, if ever? Huet and Theodore won't be traded if they keep up their A-game. Raycroft and Bryzgalov might actually trade places. Will Kari Lehtonen ever remain injury-free? Looks like a NO What's wrong with Marc-Andre Fleury? He's just in a bit of a slump. He'll be allright. Are the Lightning going to sink or swim with Johan Holmqvist? If he learns to be consistent he might be their saviour. Marc Denis is a bust. Who's the next young netminder to emerge as a quality starter in the NHL? Pavelec might be the best choice for Atlanta. Will anyone give Curtis Joseph another shot at a Stanley Cup ring? He may get a shot at playing in the NHL due to injuries or the need for a experienced, mentoring veteran, but Cup contending teams have good goaltending, so no.. {edit: Tori Spelling}

Don't know... he wasn't there for the GDT against Chicago too. Not that the dude can't take a break... but his GDT's are something special. Not to take anything away from motorcitykid !

    Looking for old redwings games

You should PM sonof3m. I know he has a lot of them (digitally). I bought a couple of games from the 98-series a while back. Maybe he still sells them. Just ask him.

    Sean Avery

I've always said the guy is a classless piece of **** and a medioce hockey player. Who makes fun of a fellow hockey-player who has cancer ? Sean F-ing Avery... that's who. Glad he's out of Detroit. It's strange though, that nobody in LA sets him straight for his actions. I mean, a guy like Rob Blake is somewhat of a veteran who should be able to be an authority in the dressing room. Apparently not..

    Complicated Osgood Question

True, but a aren't there many examples of great athletes (not only in hockey) who achieved so much, but were never really liked by the masses, simply because they were so closed off and seemingly so obsessive in their ambition to achieve their goals that they were generally labeled as arrogant or .. simply a jerk ? Mind you, I'm not saying Roy, Belfour or however on that list is considered a jerk is just a poor misunderstood goaltender, but a jerk is too simple a word to classify someone.

    Complicated Osgood Question

Let's call them my favorite goalies. Even if they would be my BEST goalies, it still would be very very subjective, because I would think they would be BEST. How can one argue with that ? A jerk to you is not necessarily a jerk to me.
