The kid made a big mistake and got punished. I don't see the problem. Emery has above-average talent to become a great goaltender. Screwing up is all part of the process..

Hasek and Ozzie next season. They are a good couple this year, so why not for another ? Howard, MacDonald, Liv all can wait. They are young enough.

So ther goes our support for Joey MacDonald ? Come on people !! This is all part of the learning curve. Of course he got shelled and he will get shelled more in the future. That's what happens to goaltenders in the NHL from time to time. Even Dominik got a beating a few weeks ago. It happens. Joey MacDonald is a talent that needs support from his team and the Detroit community to build up some confidence. Let's give the kid a little credit.

That's really not an argument IMO. Mac had to wait long for his first win and the odds are not very high he'll play a hell of a lot more this year. So let him play tonight while he can.

Let Mac play tonight. He's young, needs every NHL-experience he can get and he's young enough to play back-to-back games Why would you play Howard ? For what ?

Well, I would take Dallas too if I had a choice.... but not any day. It's not like Dallas is that far behind San Jose. Equally dangerous IMO.
