10 Shutouts is really something, but if you look at his numbers, he's very inconsistent. Tim Thomas should be the winner. He was solid as a rock this season, every single game.

He was solid in the 3rd. It didn't seem like anything was bothering him. I guess it was just something temporary .. like a pinched muscle or nerve or something... happens to all of us, right ?

IMO, he has outperformed Lidstrom, yes. That said, it doesn't mean he's overall the better player. I still think Lidstrom is. Just not this year.

Get real. Greene should win this one. Hands down. His numbers are absolutely terrific. Sure, he's not the defensive player Lidstrom is, but he's still a good defender. If Green develops like Nick has developed over the years, he'll be one hell of a defenseman.
