Same can be said for D-mac... and yet sergei at 43% is still leaps and bounds better than D-mac at 110% all around... except maybe the fighting side, if D-mac will still drop them.

Ahh but here we go again... what pat of the offer from the wings was the insult? the money or the TIME?? he took less money yes but he took MORE TIME on his contract. Stability over $$ is what that came down to i turned down an offer to work in seattle for twice what i am making now... why? it was a 6month contract job... NO job stability in 6months i would be jobless looking for something else. I would rather make LESS than have to continually look for work!

Cause the rest of our team can't score worth s*** in the playoffs and he still holds many records for scoring in the playoffs (i.e. when it REALLY counts) oh and... he can also play solid D puts the likes of Blake and all the schmucks people are craving in a totally lower league of their own.

I hope all those who are saying no to feds... are also the same that think the regular season success and playoff shortcomings is just fine and dandy.... 'cause why else would you NOT want the one player who still holds several PLAYOFF records even after being several years displaced from this team?

Once teams start realizing, buying your team isn't always the answer to winning the playoffs... especially not buying the team with only a month and 1/2 left... maybe this will mentality will drop by the wayside and teams will start learning how to draft stars and groom them internally instead of opening up their wallets every season for 3months of service at most.

But still as the player you know the team thinks you are expendable and as an owner you know that this player is stopping you from getting that much needed other player... i don't see how either way won't create tension.

Hell yeah 97 meant so much more to me than our bought '02... Sorry it just does... but i also don't follow the thinking of 95% of the population either... I would rather get a player for a long time deal anytime in the year than use a player for 2months and then kick 'em to the curb.
