Ah but see i am not the other people on here who favorites are determined by the style of play and how much they are leading the league by. I have noticed many favorites are the most obvious "leaders" of today and i am sre when the next best thing comes out their current favs will be replaced without another look back. That is evidence by all the creaming and coveting every season for the MOST rediculus "new" players possible to get. Roenick as with Ozzie, as with Fedorov, no matter if they sucked or not, you will NEVER EVER hear me say, "well i WAS a fan of theirs BUT they seem to have lost a step" NEVER will you. Mark that down! Roenick has been and will continue to be my all-time favorite player. I am not going to judge my ability to call him my favorite based "solely" on the play recentely. As i have made it obvious (or so i thought) I want Roenick to play for the wings before he ends his career, because he is my favorite player and i would love to have him be on the roster of my favorite team, where i would get to see him for 46 games. I bash gretzky for whining now as a coach but i have not like Gretz for a lot longer than he has been coaching... pretty much after watching him cherry pick night in and night out and wuss out from taking hits. Lemieux for the "great one" title!!!! Also if any of you haven't gathered in the last 2+ years as this handle... winning isnt' everything to me... I would rather LOVE the team and LOSE than have a winning team filled with a bunch of guys i can't stand.

For being a lazy bastard as many perceive he sure makes the likes of the rest of the team look like a bunch of sloths in the playoffs... Yikes he still has about 5 Playoff records for the wings had he has been gone for a few season now... Such a slacker that i would love on this team in the playoffs when we need a player to dominate.

I am impressed people are still onthe Blake bandwagon and not creaming over the rest of their D-squad... the forums really let me down today.

Why risk him getting hurt coming in cold... you aren't going to pull your goalie after three goals (Or la-barbie would have been pulled) and our team couldn't score more than three absolutely horrific goals on him anyways.

If D-mac can be remembered for that one goal sealing the Cup for us.... Can Lil' Ja be remembered for that one play that sealed our fate last playoff run? its only fair, bother are VERY unforgetable!

Exactly i am not big on the renta players... You can never get to attached to them and then it cheapens the winning. a wise leader once told me, "struggles only makes victory that much more exciting"

Isn't the business angle what he is doing? going to the highest priced bidder, regardless of reaching the supposed hockey players ultimate dream of lifting the cup. Going for money sounds like an all business philosophy to me.

We are scoring now as we do every year in the regular season... can that 5th or 6th d-man light the lamp on a continual night in night out occurance after April 8th? thats the bummer... we need a forward that is playoff compatiable.

I dunno being up by some 20 points or so against 29 other teams this late into the season pretty much is a defintion of Dominant in my book. We have yet to see about the playoffs this year, but i don't mind this trend at all. plus it is just "a" loss in the last 9 games.... oh well. *shrugs* I didn't read the rest of the thread as i was in a better place last night... but i bet it is full of the good ol' Ozzie bashing!!!!! awwww how cute and original

I would like a whole new team... one that is good enough to beat the LA Kings and one that is good enough win the stanley cup... made up of entirely every other teams star players while only sacrificing our draft picks and scrubs.... Ahhhhh there i am so glad to get that off my chest. Now i can sleep better.

Yup i could barely hold the stick with mine... i took about a month and half before i could move around without any pain what so ever. i thought 7-10 was a ***** of a pipe dream. Dem da breaks.... or seperates in this case.

Perhaps but then i would go with an already healthy d-man, then take another gamble that he will be the same player coming back from and ankle break. At least that way you are starting out healthing and hoping to not get injured as opposed to starting out hurt and hoping for a full recovery from a rather elder aged man. Now if it is Sammy straight up for blake... i agree that would be a huge upgrade on our Powerplay... but only a complete moron would take him off our hands in a trade that didn't involve used water bottles.

I am saying that each summer we let more and more of the players that actually do score in the playoffs goal and stock pile (goalies and Defenseman) and then that leads the following PO's with less and less scoring ability. Last i check Henrik was back for the playoffs (albeit he shouldn't have been as he was obviously hurt) and the rest of the team resumed their, "HENRIK will save us" attitude. And of course with zeta still visually hurt, he couldn't do it all himself and the rest of the guys never did step up and take over becuase he was still "the one". If we get some goal scoring forwards, perhaps we don't have to rely totally on our Special teams.
