I am a late nighter now, so those don't bother me.... in bed by 3 up by 8 its all good. I would actually think its normally the "older" crowd that would have the problem staying up late. Kids around 18 are usually up late anyways... If the west coast trips were the issue... then how come BJ's are doing okay with attendance or are they just not being brought up.... BJ's have seven(7) prices breakdowns BEFORE our $44 seats (rows 13-21 upper bowl)... Ticket more affordable... bingo bango... folks are going to the games. Some of the best times were actually at the joe at 1am watching joe vision... too bad that too was taken away from us Whats all this talk about Tigers taking away Red Wings tickets... Last i checked Copa was closed for the season right now... yet Wings are still not selling their "higer priced" tickets. "lower priced" tickets are bought up quickly mind you. Also, Tigers have those nifty BOGO coupons in the Entertainment Book that make the prices WAY MORE affordable.

6 hours then i have 3 days OFF!

I was laughing so hard the entire time... almost crying at times. ".... and one count of extreme jealousy" lmao

I am kinda digging the West Coast trip right now.... Hockey double header on Saturday.... Whalers at 7:05, Wings at 10:30!

How do you get your money??? Unemployment has EVERYTHING to do with the amount of money being spent on sporting events... Over priced sporting events mind you. There is a reason why only the $22 seats sell out...because that is what people can afford because of the shape the Economy is in... others can't afford even those because they are part of the 7.4% Unemployed in Michigan.... I don't see how anyone can say its not about unemployment or the Economy....

Go Wings!!! Go Kesler! Should be a fun game all around.

Tickets sold at an average of 17% discount off of face value... many prices below wings lowest... Highest priced tiger tickets only $11 MORE than the wings Upper Bowl price (Tigs $65 while wings upperbowl row 1-12 is $54).... Many Many factors. Idk i go to almost every Whalers game because their tickets are affordable... Hell i drove to saginaw (and am doing it again) becuase Gas for 200mile round trip, 2 Tickets, 1 parking pass, and 2 arena dinners are still cheaper than 2 average priced ticket to the wings and parking

Well in all fairness they only have a 4.2% unemployment rate... in fact tied for 21st overall.... where we here in michigan and enjoying a country leading 7.4% unemployment... Who has the better chance to be able to afford entertainment expenses?
-
My feelings exactly. Win the game you get the riches... Lose the game and you get to hear gene Wilder scream, "so you get nothing! You lose! Good day sir!"

WTF... yeah i couldn't find it... and i just watched it on the computer like right before the new year... Hmmmmmm its out there! It must be the attack of Y2k8

Wings do need to lower ticket prices, hands down. If ticket prices were not the problem then explain to me why the $22 tickets are sold out ever game and the Better Seats (visual sightlines wise) are still able to be bought game in and game out? simple... people don't want to spend $54-75 for a 2-1/2 hockey game in todays economy...in Michigan's economy. And comparing the Tigers Season ticket sales isn't really apples to apples even though its the same effing owner... Tigers fans recieve up to 36% discount on their seat price if they go the season ticket route.... The lowest savings is 8% while the average is about 17% off the ticket price. What do the wings give you as a discount for buying season tickets??? 0% , you pay face value or you don't go. Not to mention there are many prices areas below the lowest $22 the wings offer...

Yeah i am sure they will I am actually probably one of the few that kinda hopes we get these beat downs closer to the playoffs.... It will be a nice change instead of crusing into the playoffs just to have the other teams step up their game and ours to remain the same (and the outcome is we lose 1st or 2nd round)... A false sense of security being the #1 team going into the playoffs has been our downfall... we need to continue to work at it... winning only breeds content which in turn breeds comfort and the inability to want to keep improving your game.
-
Both... but i am a bigger fan of the wings when my fav goalie is playing The team is in a huge slump.... They are playing worse mini mites right... Nothing exciting about their game right now. They need to turn it around or no matter what they are going to lose....
-
Tickets prices might be inline, but unemployment rate is way out of a line from the other states I hope you are right about the playoffs not being raised or if so just slightly... that is a pipe dream at best... especially when the mark up was 500% during certain rounds.

Nah its pretty sweet! Those seats are awesome. I like them better than center ice any day. Although i have been to about 15 whalers games in those seats this year so i am kinda biased. Love 'em! Vipers used to do that.... we got moved down to those seats at the palace... and a special treat was that it was during the '95 lockout and my friends and i got our picture in Sport Illustrated where they taked about fans getting their fix with the NHL out.
