I think it is a HUGE value to the owners.. They can screw the fans and still pull in millions in their wallet.

Benefits for season ticket holders... Um this year they give you 15% off the already MARKED UP 30% prices at the Joe Louis Arena proshops.... You also save the Ticketbastard charges per tickets... but other than that you are Paying exactly for 46 games (all preseason and 41 regular season games) and if you want you can a parking pass at an Outrageous $15/game price YIKES .... RIP OFF! The $500 deposit should be applied to your OVERALL cost of the tickets... so if you bought two $54 seats your balance remaining would be around $4798 - $500 deposit = $4298. The deposit is not OR SHOULD NOT be an additional price you pay. I sold 36 games to a member on here last season without a problem. Both parties were happy. I basically took the over all price of the tickets (plus the $10 per order fee the season ticket office charges you) and divided it by the number of games they were taking. They sent me a Certified Check, I cashed it, bought the tickets and when they arrived I sent them with signature confirmation to them. It worked out nicely actually. I made a sorta make shift aggreement in excel that I sent via E-mail to the other party. they printed it, signed it and mailed it back to me with their certified check. I in return signed it, made a copy and sent the copy to them in the mail with the tickets.

I think its funny that a team would cease operations for 2 years while they build an arena... Next up Red Wings to fold after this season while they build a new arena... I love it!

No kidding, I waited 10 years to get mine... Looks like I will still be able to get tickets to the games now, just not having to dish out that much mulah up front. I am going to try that discount ticket site that was published during the playoffs.

It was 10 years back in '95 when I signed up and got the nod in '05.... Now it just shows you how many current former season tickets holders are telling illitch and co for F-off with his "prices" and non-discounts.

Here are my issues detail from NEW on left and OLD on right Shoulder U has been removed it is now almost cut straight (top black line) Bottom white stripe has been trimmed in width making the whole jersey look out of proportion. You could even say that the white band on the arms has been moved closer to the hands as well. Also if you want to go even further the Crest itself is laying more horizontal than it used too, also throwing off the proportion of the jersey. Just saying, that is what I notice without seeing the actual jersey in action.

How fair is that... you guys get an e-mail... I get a phone call <-- Trying to tie this into "I know what you did last summer" I wish I could check my hotmail account at work so that I could see if I got the e-mail This is funny... I would guess many of those Non-corporate season ticket holder... living in michigan are passing this year. Such a shame all it would take is Mr. Moneybags to lower the cost of the freakin' tickets and not so many people would be turning them down. I now know of 7 different pairings of season ticket holders (including myself) who have turned down their renewal this season. I put my name back on the list mid last season... I will s*** a brick lauging hysterically if they give me an e-mail that would be priceless. Steve Yzerman left a voicemail on my work phone letting me know that it is time to renew my tickets and that I havent' yet.... Sorry Stevie... your boss is a money *****!

I will be so pissed if someone buys them from you now when I offered them up for a month (at below face value) Put up or shut up! I have been saying that for a year to all those complaing, spot on! But in all fairness to them.. it is always easy to ***** when it is someone ELSES money that is being spent...

That is exactly what I was saying... I will withold absolute judgement until i seem them on the ice... but from my vantage point, they should does looked messed up. The ones they used to put on the sleeve (ugly) or on the back right side (even uglier) were stiched and ironed on ... much like the lettering. I do understand you can take it off but just like the jeans, they underneath part where the patch was will still look distorted to an extent. I also understand that the design is of the sweater itself and no the Wings... I could care less if the wings changed it or not actually... the fact is it has been changed (i am not keen on the whole form-fitting idea for the typical fan use either) and the changes that appear to have been made are fugly. But like I said before, since the overall look is similar to the "old" style... I will continue to wear one of my twenty other old style jerseys as i like the form and function they provide to the every day fan... I am not a player, I don't need a form fitting (nor do I want a form fitting) jersey.

They are probably the ones we just turned down this season... TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM!!!!!!! It was fun while it lasted... but my wallet really thanks me for not renewing this season. I put myself back on the waitlist, so in the future we will get the call again.
