Dammit man! I didn't get home in time to post this...... However, we do have our ace in the hole Cheli and when he fails we bring in ozzie
-
Yeah that is right!!! It's FRIDAY *******!

Bert called his former Boss only after kenny told him anything more than 1 year is a No go. Wanted to return just not for a 1 year deal.

FA prices rose as did the Salary Cap... they are outrageous prices compared to the 1st season back after the cap... but as you watch the current cap get closer to "no Cap" amount for teams... the salaries will also rise to the pre-cap price. It would be dumb to think that the prices of players next will will remain the same or lower if the cap rises...
-
Somewhere someone in a griff jersey is jumping up and down. saying Yay! Thank you Kenny!
-
Some say they were overpaid... some say that is just the new norm for prices with a constantly increasing cap. Next year those prices will not be overpaid at all... you will see as the cap gets higher so too will next years bunch of FA salaries. The only good thing is that Holland is obviously holding out with the extra 6mill or so to pick up Sergei at the Trade Deadline... so for that I applaud his actions. Which will then alter my opinion of him addressing the "real" reason we haven't won in the post season.

Becuase our problems stem from lack of offense... building a better defense is just appeasing the masses who need a pickup siging in the offseason.... Bolstering our Defense while letting capable goal scorers walk is not exactly addressing our inability to put the puck in the net during crunch time. But hey I will be saying the same thing next season as well... because he continues to correct a fictious problem. While letting the real issue "scoring" fall to the wayside and be an after thought.... perhaps our D-men will help on the powerplay... they are going to have to because we still have the same PP unit which failed out there. On a side note... with the Dom in net.. I would have like to see less money placed on D and more money placed on goal scorers... I am still at a loss why we need such a huge defense when we have the best in net.

I be wantin' t' go home!
-
Bleh, home ice is over rated.... we had it last season and for the last few seasons if i recal.

Wasn't Brandrew signed like 3 days ago? and did it ever get confirmation as to which Ferrence it really was?
-
^^ that is true... who needs a Matt Cullen when you can get his brother Mark cheap... or who needs a sergei Fedorov when you can get his brother Fedor even cheaper. Carry on.

What goes up must come down... unless it is the sky. Makes perfect sense to shot the shot at angle or straight up... with the rotation of the earth the bullet would strike its target perfectly... if you had the proper trajectory.

Can't Vanek just not accept the offer and remain loyal to his current club? I mean Loyalty from players to orgs is key right?
-
Matt Cullen Rocks.... Mark Cullen rocks slightly less. Ah well strike this one up as an Offseason SCORE! on the signing sheet and call it a summer already.
-
Aye! t' both above th' explainations above!
-
OMG... somebody else is alive on here!
-
I would rather use Huddles for this duds i mean dudes minutes... Plus, he is not a defensemen he will in no way shape or form solidify our cup run next year.

E-mail agreements can be legaling binding... I know we have some lawyers in here... but this is my take from my paralegal/cyber law class last year: At What Point Does the Contract Become Binding? The general rule is that a contract is formed once the acceptance is communicated. At that point, both parties are bound by the contract. The exception to this is known as the mailbox rule, which says that an acceptance sent by mail becomes effective when mailed, not when received. This rule applies to contract acceptance only. This means that once a letter of acceptance has been mailed, the offer cannot be revoked even if the offeror has not yet received the acceptance. Does E-Mail Fall Under the Mailbox Rule? The courts have not clearly decided whether an acceptance by e-mail becomes valid when sent or when received. Instantaneous forms of communication such as faxes and telex communications do not fall under the mailbox rule, so acceptance by these methods is only valid when received. I would say... I would think he is still an Oil... if the events went down as described. Especially since the Oils received the acceptance and sent out the papers to the already accepted contract.

Isn't it like 24 hours... that the slug turds have? LOL this is like Karmonos and ilitch with sergei lol
-
Although I really do like the holding out on cash now to acquire sergei in march!
-
I guess that is the nice way of what I was going to say... because he be having a hand shoved up his ass all day and all night.
-
Yep me too... which is why it sucks watching 4 (possibly 5 with markov) walk out the door. I might also add replacing them with one person I really couldn't care less for. I am sure he will be alright for the team... but adding him doesn't equal the loss of the others for me.
-
Would I be worried about Osgood/Howard in net next year... Not really we can't do any worse than not winning the cup which has been the norm WITHOUT them as our tandem... Give 'em a shot and then we will talk about the issues arising. Would you really even know if the sky was falling anyways... I mean it seems to be pretty invisible for the most part.

So Big H is done with the offseason moves... when did he even start?
-
Sometimes you just gotta expand your sights past the hometeam if you have favorites residing elseware around the league.... I, myself, have no problem rooting for Bert on the Ducks.... the exact same as I didn't have any problem rooting for Bert on the Canucks.... He didn't really even play on the panthers so that is a moot point.
