Kozzie was a victim in the whole... Best goalie in the world is wanting to come to your team.... you would be dumb not to deal for him. Everyone is probably wanting him back because they don't see the "slacker" status you speak of. I don't see it at all..... Then again the wings will do what they always do... let scorers walk and pick up another new goalie.... thats seems to solve the problem every year.

That is not his fault that he was sent to the horrible Buffalo Sabres (whom didn't make the playoffs) and then the even worse thrashers who made the playoffs for the first time in their 7 season history of the franchise last season. They looked horrific. You say the pretty forsure when all you are doing is speculating about him no longer being a playoff performer. As I said, all of our guys except Lids had a 4 game slump where they didn't record points and were negative... If Kozlov was able to appear in more games this post season I dare say he would score more goals also.. much like Zetterberg did this post season after not showing up on the score board in 4 straight. But if 4 games without a point and in the negative gets you the "no longer a playoff performer" then I am glad to see that Dany "killer" Heatley will be given this abundant title in 2 games if he continues down this current path. Does Marian Hossa (leading his previous team in Playoff points the previous seasons, but only recording 1assist and also a -6 since leaving the senators) get awarded the same "No longer a Playoff Performer" trophy as well?

I would also like to add a new number 4.... He "Calders" it up (playing really good in the remaining regular season and something happens and mysteriously disappears in the playoffs" Obviously BIGGER wins cups... All we need to do is keep up our streak and get a BIGGER 'tender.

Marian Hossa (THEIR LEADING SCORER) 4 games 1 assist -6... he sucks too right? Some of our key players also took 4 games stretches where they couldn't produce. Only Lids didn't have a 4 game gap in scoring where he didn't produce. Just because he does that on a lowly team like Atlanta, doesn't mean he wouldn't or couldn't produce once again on the wings. P.s. Mods.. why are their two different threads on this same topic?

And I was being 100% serious... Slava was huge in the playoffs when it mattered. Lang had 2 huge goals in the post season that mattered as well. While Dom was a nice addition... our scoring, or lack thereof, has been our downfall. Feds definitely had more of an impact on our team success during his tenure here than either of those two. Thats not saying I don't like them... that is just stating that Feds played a bigger role in our overall success as a franchise than those two.

Post cap you would be hard pressed to find many forwards pushing 4 million anyways.... Most players salaries Dropped accordingly as they renewed their contracts After the cap was put in place. The is the first time Lang's salary will be adjusted under the new cap, so I expect that he won't be near the 4 million mark. Not to mention you yourself said he was our 2nd line center...so Of course his post cap salary should be and will be more aligned to the 1-2million contracts of all other 2nd line players. His salary was very comparable to 2nd line players before the cap. Now it is unfairly compared to the salaries of post cap team stars (those who already renegotiated their contracts)...when he is not being used as a superstar but a 2nd line player. As for forwards... as much as I hate to say it JR played nothing like his post cap salary in his final year before he took the 1.2 million paycheck.

You got that right... he knew how to score big in the Playoffs when he was on our team... 114GP 42G 37A 79pt all in the post season... I love those numbers... and we have been missing those numbers since he was sent packing.

Now you will be able to find it really quick... Now you will be driving in circles around it for a 1/2 hour trying to find a parking spot somewhere near it.

Luckily for the team and all involved.... Huddles role on the team pales in comparison to the responsbility that JFH's position entails.

Ah yes you are right, we did lose the game... but luckily in hockey playoffs its a series made of a race to 4 games... the most the starts got was one other win, just like the first 2 rounds. I tend to look at the positive sides... you know shutting out Dallas 2-0 in Game 6, just as he did in Game 1. and also... what does the captain know anyways: I saw a few OT and regulation stinkers this past playoff run also and Ozzie wasn't even on the ice... go figure! Hard to believe, I know, but it happens to the best of them. Its how you rebound which is key and Ozzie came back and pitched a perfect game.
