If we are going to do a goalie shakeup just do to a goalie shakeup becuase it is the only thing Detroit knows after playoff exits... Then I say I don't want another offseason of trying to use duct tape to put a temporoary patch on our post season problems. Apart from the last series our team GAA was around 1.67... We couldn't score more that that? Sounds to me like its a forward issue and not entirely a goaltender issue. Every post season its the same thing... We lose... Gotta get a new "better Goalie". then we do that and we still lose... then we get an even "better" goalie... then we lose... the we get the "best" goalie... then we lose... See the pattern? its not goaltending! Something about the team not giving a full 60 min effort is what needs to be addressed. Now if we are doing the goalie shakeup in the background as the real issues are being addressed then I don't mind it as much. As long as Ozzie is in the system, I am content.

The loss sucked sure, but as far as being the hardest pill to swallow ever in my life with the wings... not at all. Living and dying with the team during the mid-80's you really can't get too doom and gloom making it to the third round. Our future looks bright if the "uppers" don't F to much with the team.

Did he shake the flames hands? Maybe at his age he just plain out forgot he was supposed to do that. Old age an all. All in all, I want him signed for 3 more years!

Blah... 10 mins of hockey is not going to get you squat... however 3 goals in the Post season when our GAA was 1.67 SHOULD HAVE been enough. It could have been enough if we focused that same energy for the other 50 mins. Maybe instead of sending shirts to them we can send the staples and staplers so that they can staple memo pads to their foreheads saying HOCKEY GAME = 60 MINUTES! Credit cards aren't usually charged until the tickets are printed... but either case, if you will get a refund. Are they holding the amount on your credit card at all?

Game 1 on Memorial Day holiday... odd. That sure won't help the whole we must sell out the JLA or we suck arguement

Just because its there in "quantity" doesn't mean its there in "quality"

Right now goal scoring is our issue... We can hit and really the Mighty Phucks haven't looked all the physical out there (compared to the flames or sharks). Losing 7 games with a collective team GAA of 1.67 is something that should bring up HUGE red flags. I would focus on scoring first this round and hitting 2nd. Kopa can hit, but with his limited time... has he hit? I know huddles can make the most out of his insanely low minutes.

I will give Lil' Ja props after I see how he handles his goof up on the ice tonight. if that was the straw that broke the camels back with him and we are back to the Lil' Ja of old... than no such props will be handed out by me. But if he shakes it off as a true professional and continues to play solid than well he should get some.

I would suggest that instead of going after our tradional "MUST HAVE" goalies.. we focus more on address the "REAL" post season issues... PP specialists AND goal scorers in the Post season! Having a team GAA of under 1.70 and still managing to lose 7 games is a bit of a disappointment.

I wasn't getting all cocky nor was I poking insults at you.... Somebody is to blame.. I orginally thought Lids.... But after your explaination I am shifting my blame to hasek as I am truely shocked that Dom didn't have his lower position covered... which if that was the case caused Lids to make the faitful error in judgement to try to block a shot as if he was interupting a pass on a 2 on 1. I know you weren't blaming Dom, I am sorry if I made it sound that my thoughts were coming out of your mouth. You haven't bashed dom all season... me on the other hand am the exact oposite While others have been oogling over his play this post season I see him as being nothing we didn't see from Joseph a few years ago, except Dom has worse stats... the diffrence makers in this years playoffs are our goal scoring... He is the king of ice level... having that covered at all times is the least I expect from him.... Sorry if I made it sound like you were saying that.. I will take all the heat from that comment as I fully stand by it... Dom sure had Ice level covered (and in record time I might add) after Lil' Ja's give away, didn't he? Shoot high you score... aim low you don't. Always has been that way against Dom, just so many players haven't seem to figured that one out yet. And then I will throw in my obligatory reply saying... I would like to see him have a full season of puck under his belt before I write him off as being a has-been. The Bert we have seen this season is what everyone expected, or at least should have expected, from an IR player picked up at the trade deadline. Has he even played 30 games yet this season?

Give us the option of a $10 ticket to watch the game and we wil all be pleasantly surprised. I mean if the $10 is still a sticking point, I shouldn't be having as much trouble getting a table tonight at HTC as those people are paying just as much to get in there. "if you LOWER IT, they WILL COME!" or in this case... "if you OFFER IT and LOWER IT, they WILL COME"

Well dammit dom... what they hell were you doing... you own the lower part of the net.... its the above knee high that we should have to worry about. I don't blame Lids at all now... Dom wasn't doing his job covering the ice level portion of the net and this is what caused the chain of events

So is that official then... did those two slackers make it to the airport for the flight out this time? I mean it would be a shame to have to play yet ANOTHER LEFT COAST game without those two in the lineup.
